This is an exceptionally welcoming and comfortable hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. They have a washing machine that’s free for guests to use and provide a complimentary croissant in the mornings. An excellent stay!

Great location in the Gion neighborhood. Lovely room. Very helpful staff. Freshly baked croissants and coffee/tea served in the lobby in the mornings. Lots of great restaurants nearby and the ever reliable 7-11 next door.

The building only had one washing machine and one cycle was 4 hours! Though a kind member of staff later informed me that it can be stopped mid-cycle for lighter loads.

Second time staying at Miru Kyoto but first time at their Gion location. The rooms were as pristine and spacious as I remembered. The surrounding area was surprisingly calm despite being in the middle of Gion, and was conveniently located near transport and shopping. Staff there were always very willing to help with directions, luggage forwarding, or just to have a quick chat while waiting for the laundry to finish! Miru Kyoto's friendly and welcoming service really can't be beat - they may be on the pricey side but it's entirely worth it.

We had a wonderful Japanese style room with a very nice bathroom! The location is so convenient to everything! The light breakfast is just enough to get you started on your day and not too much to slow you down. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making reservations and recommendations as needed.

Convenient location, many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. We stayed in a traditional tatami style room, which was comfortable and cozy. Everything was so clean and attention to detail was evident. Very welcoming, kind staff, offering assistance with attractions, etc. Croissants and coffee/tea offered in the morning, in the lobby.

Beautiful hotel conviently located in Gion. The staff go the extra mile, the croissants during breakfast were a nice touch, and the rooms were comfy and cosy. The complimentary toiletries and PJs were lovely, too. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Kyoto!

A beautiful cozy hotel in a quiet tranquil area, yet just a few minutes walk to the shopping area. Rooms were very clean, front desk staff were warm and helpful at all time.

Excellent location in the heart of most interesting area of Kyoto and even close to major shopping. The room was very comfortable and the staff were excellent and very attentive. The free coffee, juice, and croissant provided every morning was just enough to get your day started. The hotel is still relatively new and still has that nice new feel. Would recommend to everyone.

Everything was perfect!

The location is unbeatable - in the Gion district. Perfect for an early morning or evening stroll to enjoy the special atmosphere. The room is super comfortable and very clean - with everything you need for a great stay. There are lots of little details that make all the difference. In addition, the hotel offers a number of very useful and relevant recommendations for restaurants, activities and shopping. But I'd particularly like to mention the service-mindedness of the hotel staff - they were so welcoming and attentive. A special mention for Michi - she's super great!

Staff were wonderful, gave us great recommendations, and they even snuck a little bottle of champagne into our room when we mentioned we here for our honeymoon!
