Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaIt would have been ok if it wasn’t so hot but in the hot humid weather, a little challenging to walk to the station. The toilet made a gurgling sound at night. Still manageable.
Clean, staff can’t speak much English but they try very hard to communicate and smiles a lot. The sauna was a bonus. Felt very pampered. The free ice and cold water helped very much in the heat. The shower pressure was great. The laundry inside the hotel was very useful.

NorwayThe room has a modern style and are very clean. The beds were comfy. The breakfast had a lot of different Japanese food to choose from with a taste for anyone. The station is also in walking distance but a bit far when carrying a lot of baggage

Italy"Old style" hotel with free drinks, toiletries, night robe... and a mini-golf machine. Not so far from the station (15-20 minutes) but there are also buses running right outside. We did not use the onsen but I guess it's also a plus. Really nothing to complain :)

United StatesThis is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main Miyazaki station but I’m really glad I stayed here. I did not expect to enjoy the sauna and lounge as much as I did, and I would come back to Miyazaki just to experience it again. It had kind of a nostalgic, Blockbuster ‘90s feel to it or like you’re in a temple from Ocarina of Time. The lounge area also has free popcorn, beer, boiled eggs, popsicles, and other stuff like potatoes. There’s also a room with massage chairs that’s pretty cool as well. The room itself was pretty nice but nothing out of the ordinary from a regular business hotel in Japan. It was just nice having the option to go downstairs and hang out in the lounge or sauna instead of stay in the room. There’s also a free drink machine in the lobby and vending machines on different floors. I’ll definitely come back here next time I’m in Miyazaki.

Hong KongThe location is little bit far from Miyazaki JR station and need to walk 15 minutes to arrive. Also, the price is a bit high, compared to I stay in other Kyuushu cities. But considering the excellent onsen and sauna facilities, I think it is worthwhile to pay for it.
The onsen and sauna facilities are excellent. The coffee corner provide various types of drinks at free. The room space is moderate and I feel cozy to stay there.

JapanA bit of a walk from most public transport.
My go to hotel in Miyazaki because of its huge open bath and free amenities (including beer and snacks). Outside looks old but rooms are very modern and designed to aid sleep.

New ZealandUnfortunately was too tired to visit the bath during our stay, which was sad given we chose this hotel largely due to the presence of the bath. My partner did try in the morning but found the bath was only for men and only sauna was available for women, which is a bit sad.
Good price with good facilities and plenty of space which was a luxury compared to my stay in bigger cities. Even had a car park available despite me not booking ahead which was fortunate as we got a rental car for the last part of our trip. The buffet breakfast was great and the staff were lovely. Miyazaki is definitely a place I wish I had more time to explore on the trip, would spend more time here and in Fukuoka instead of Tokyo which is too busy for my tastes.

Singaporeused mainly by the local salaried men. There is an onsen - but only for men. Kettle, iron, extra pillows, washer n dryer were located at every flr lift lobby. 1st come 1st served. Room was not made during my 2 day stay but fresh towels were put outside your door. We had rented a car so location not an issue. Not near shopping

ThailandThe parking area is a little limited if you are planning to travel there by car. The elevator can also get a little crowded during check out time which is understandable. If you are a woman and looking for an onsen bath you would be disappointed because onsen is for men only.
Breakfast was great with a very attentive staff. What we loved the most about staying at this place are generous refill drinks bar and coffee in the morning. The rock spa was superb with very nice staff team to help assist you during spa time, there was even free eggs, snacks, miso soup and apple cider given out for free during spa time.
