Like: Very near Kawaguchiko station, bike rental, cafe, restaurants and convenience stores. The location was really good. Free washing machine and dryer. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash available. Free coffee and tea and a small microwave available. Dislike: Tried their futton bed, just for experience, I wished I never tried as it was uncomfortable for people who’s used to a normal bed. It looked clean, just the toilet has unpleasant smell - which I hope they are cleaning or put a sprayer in there. No staff available to ask but easy access, just all online.

The shared bathroom was the low point and since we visited during winter it was a bit hard to use the bathroom. But I have to say everything was very clean and well organized.

The experience of being in a traditional Japanese tatami room was amazing. Location was perdect and everything very clean.

The bunk bed moves whenever the occupant in the top moves

It is very near in Kawaguchiko Station. The room is spacious and the shared bathroom is clean. This is my second time here in Samurise Kura

Self check-in with passport scanning can be tricky; slow Wi-Fi caused issues for a guest, so avoid arriving too late.

Conveniently near the train station, clean Japanese-style rooms, and easy bike rentals nearby.

You can hear the neighbors if they are not keeping quite enough. Especially when people walk in the corridor.

It was very cold there. The first air conditioning in Japan, what we failed to do, let the warm air blow. Very weak walls, could hear everything in the adjoining rooms.

In general we were satisfied.

The mattress in the 'Japanese style room' is very thin and not very comfortable; the property is unstaffed and the check-in tablet was malfunctioning so check in was a bit tricky; walls are very thin, bring ear plugs.

Amazing location just next to the train station, very clean, super fluffy duvets, felt very authentic with the tatami floor mats, futons, etc.

The washing machine was a little bit noisy, i felt like I was waking up the other people in the other rooms as the sound transcended through the hallways despite the washing machine room door being closed.

I absolutely loved how convenient the location is. It was honestly so reassuring to know that my accomodation is super close to Kawaguchiko station. It was beneficial for me as I can leave anytime I want in the morning whilst avoiding the crowds and also could come home as late as I want. There are also lots of cafes and restaurants that are great walking distance. I went during autumn and the beddings and heater really warmed me up well and made me feel cozy. It was also good that there was self check in and self check out.

It was a little bit cold on the floor.

Location is great! Everything is near. The style of hostel is like old traditional Japanese houses. The bed was comfortable and I liked the big blanket. There are few rooms so it's not crowded. The restrooms are clean and comfortable. Although you can hear your neighbors very well people were polite and didn't make noise

The only issue I has was that the futons are ridiculously thin. it’s like sleeping directly on the floor…

it was clean, and the room was spacious. Checkin was a breeze when you preregister and then use the tablet. Location was fantastic as it was 3 min from the train station and 10 min from lake Kawaguchiko.
