Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeNot great accessibility by public transport, but centrally located for driving.
The rooms were big, bed was large, and so was the sofa. The bathtub was one of the largest I’ve seen in a hotel with a shower area beside it. Free parking available at the property.

Australialocation isn't incredibly central but we didn't mind too much- not difficult to catch nearby train very minor complaints but the TV placement was a little odd being to the side of the bed, and sheet covers were peculiar... they were sort of two separate pieces that were tied with knots at the corners- one night was all it took for them to come undone and need redoing. as a warning to other travellers the "coin laundry" directly nextdoor (not part of the hotel) doesn't actually accept coins... (there's one 5-10min walk away that does!!)
large spacious room with excellent bathroom amenities, great value, fridge was ice cold, water cooler provided and room service was incredible! would definitely recommend

HungaryWork of cleaning staff has room for improvement. When I moved in, there was a female panties in the wardrobe, probably from previous guest. Sometimes they left garbage in the room. No remote control for the AC. Can only be managed from an inconvenient panel next to the bed. No option to manage each source of light independently, the same inconvenient central panel. Room gets stuffy easily, hard to find a proper setting for the AC.
Great location, not too far from Nagoya Station and Osu shopping area. Grocery stores, charming little shrine, family restaurant and railway station nearby. Room is very big, it has microwave oven.

AustraliaAir-conditioning was loud and needed to be on all night, to avoid a stuffy atmosphere (even on colder days in November). If you have noise sensitivity issues, it may be of concern.
Rooms are very large. Exceptionally comfortable and luxurious. The bath tub/jacuzzi and washroom were particularly great. Lighting in the room gave a great ambience. Staff were helpful and kind. Hotel was spotless. Would definitely stay again.

JapanThe toilet had a slight smell of urine which crept its way into the small “lounge” part of the room (just a table and interesting sofa). The toilet floor needed some attention too but it wasn’t so bad that we needed to complain. A very small minus in a big list of pluses ;)
Great size rooms, dry cheap breakfast options delivered directly to the room at a time of your choosing (through a hatch inside the room!). Location was prefect and parking was easy. Staff were very helpful and check in and out were super easy.

HungaryI found a sock and slippers under the bed which made us laugh!
We spent a night at N Hotel and it was an amazing experience! The moment you enter the hotel and take the elevator to the reception floor, you are greeted by the welcoming staff. After receiving free drinks from a vending machine, we made it to our room on the 5th floor. The photos of the room speak for themselves. The room looks beautiful, elegant, and spacious! The king-sized bed is a joy and the view from the window was great! Everything felt new and aesthetically pleasing in the room. The room comes with a number of tools, a tablet, which with you can order breakfast and different services. It also has a water dispenser, a big TV with a soundbar, different options for lighting, and a secret cabinet which opens from both the outside and inside, so the staff can serve your breakfast inside without entering the room. The bathroom is amazing with lots of amenities and the hot tub is fantastic.
