How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

When i ordered in booking.com there is no selection for 2 people in 1 room. I ended up ordered 2 twin bed room for 2 people n hv to pay additional on the spot.

Nothing major—everything met or exceeded our expectations.
The location was perfect—very close to Nagano Station, making it super convenient for sightseeing and traveling. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The breakfast offered a nice variety and was a great start to the day.

No family rooms available, so had to book two rooms, though this worked out fine.
Excellent location for transport to Snow Monkey Park & onward travel from Nagano train station. Lift from snow monkey train line, directly to lobby of hotel! Staff were welcoming & polite - rooms were compact but had all facilities required for a two night stay. Quiet despite central location

Right opposite the Nagano train station and near restaurants, convenience stores. More than sufficient breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. A little more pricey than other hotels we stayed in on this trip but still good value. Bathroom was tight as is with many other similar hotels. Recommended and we would stay there again!

The staff are not as friendly as in other hotels. The hotel should also posted the location on where to park our car especially for those who self drive or at least let customer know where is the parking lot they have partnered with. It was very stressful looking for a car park to park my car for the checking in as the hotel is located in a busy area with no parking in the vicinity.

Breakfast was not included with the room
Facility is directly across the street from Nagano Station, which served as a meeting point for the shrine and snow monkey excursion. Staff was efficient and the hotel is well-maintained and clean. Good restaurants are within short walking distance.

The rooms were clean and the location was in the heart of transportation food and more. The rooms were small but efficient and we would come back here again. The bus station to the snow monkeys and the temple walks is right across the street making it a central point for getting around.

First time staying in Nagano and since we don't travel light we wanted a hotel close to the station so we don't have to carry our luggage through public transport. Exceptional breakfast and service, I loved everything about this hotel. It's less than 2 km away from the most beautiful shrine I've seen in Japan so far , Zenkoji, so my morning routine was to go for a run to and around the temple and back to the hotel. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in Nagano City for a few days.

Beds were a bit too low to the ground but very comfortable to sleep on.
Excellent location just across the road from Nagano Station - so easy for Shinkansen train in and out ; also the bus for snow monkeys is on one side of the station too so super convenient. Restaurants above the station were some of the best steak we had in our 18 day night stay.

Nothing. It was slightly more expensive than other places we stayed in Japan, but the room was much bigger than others.
Excellent location. Very close to the station. The rooms were large and comfortable. It was very clean and the bathroom was lovely. There were plenty of charging points and the wifi was great. I would highly recommend this place.

Right next to the station, close to everything. Made the day trips to Tateyama Alpine Route, Obuse, and Matsumoto really easy. Liked that we can use the stairs.

Nothing we didn’t like - regret not staying longer!
Super clean, comfortable with high quality services. Including the most comfortable pajama’s, towels, tea etc. Perfect for last minute stays as you can check in until midnight. Very comfortable beds as well :)
