Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyEverything was very clean. We were a bit scared about the shared bathrooms, but they were very clean and there were enough toilets and showers so we never had to wait too much to use them (actually only had to wait to take a shower once). They provide toiletries and I actually liked the shampoo very much. Great location, near the subway and within a walkable distance from many things. The room was big and comfortable. There was a big fridge. WiFi worked well. They have washing machines available. No driers, but you can hang your clothes to dry on the terrace. There's no reception but it wasn't a problem because every time we had a question we wrote to them on booking.com and they replied very quickly.

SpainAs the name suggests, it's an hostel with shared bathroom and showers. Plan ahead when to come back.
Simple and quite cheap hostel where you can be at the center of Osaka, 10 min away from dotonbori and Osaka castle. It was pretty chill with not a lot of people. Super quiet

FranceAs for things to be aware of: the walls are quite thin, so you can easily hear noises from other rooms. And as often in places with shared spaces (toilets, sinks, etc.), the real problem can come from the other guests. Some are not very respectful, which can be frustrating if you end up with the wrong kind of people. The worst enemy of a traveler in shared accommodations is… other travelers themselves. That said, the hosts aren’t to blame and can’t control everything. The shared areas were still well cleaned, even though some guests left them messy. The effort to keep everything tidy was noticeable and appreciated. Maybe thicker walls would help, but in this type of structure, that’s hard to change.
The hosts, Qinhao and his wife Wang, were truly wonderful. Very present, responsive via WhatsApp, always ready to help and quick to answer any questions a real plus when traveling alone. The accommodation is very well located, about a 15–20 minute walk from Dotonbori, which is perfect for strolling around before reaching the lively heart of Osaka. Nagahoribashi Station is 5 minutes away, with convenience stores just across the street, super convenient !! The value for money is really good, especially for a first solo trip to Japan. I felt safe and well looked after. A huge thank you to Qinhao and Wang for their warm welcome, availability, and kindness. You truly helped make my first trip to Japan feel safe and enjoyable!

GermanyShared toilets will always be a trade-off. Some days other hostel guests would clean up after they use the toilets seats, shower rooms, and lavatories. Some guests just let their poop stain the toilet bowl, or leave the sink counter very very wet. It’s nothing the hostel staff can do but clean up routinely. Some people just don’t know how to clean up after themselves.
Comfortable and cozy room. Feels like a typical Japanese apartment. Decent location.

BelgiumWe had a great stay at Sunnice hostel. Location and price were very good. The bed mattresses were a bit thin, but overall very good facilities. Special thanks to the staff: we washed our clothes and hung them outside, right before it started raining. They moved our clothes under the roof in order to shield them from the rain.

Very quick to help when heater didn't heat and offered another room which we appreciated. Good location for castle and dotonbori area, and tsutenkaku tower area - easy reach by metro. Some nice places to eat nearby, and good facilities to self cater should you wish. We enjoyed our stay.

United StatesNot the hostel’s fault but inconsiderate people slamming the doors at 12AM-3AM. Street can be very noisy. No water, have to buy at convenience store. Soundproof is no good..
Stayed in triple room on 5th floor. Nice view. Clean and spacious. Has elevator. Comfortable bed. Code to enter room so don’t have to worry about a key/card. Shower and toilet on each floor (only 2 rooms per floor so didn’t have to share with many people) and clean. Extra restroom and showers on the 6th floor. Toothbrush, Hair dryer, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & hangers available. You can open the windows and feel the cool breeze. Convenience stores, restaurants, and shopping nearby (10 minute walk). Near subway station. AC is good. Stores luggage before check-in. Washers (3), detergent, and drying racks available. Good price. Fridge in room. Wi-Fi worked well. Kitchen in lobby. Owner is very kind and let me check in early. She couldn’t speak English but she communicated with me through google translate. I highly recommend even as a solo female traveler. The showers and toilets do have a lock on them. It’s just the entrance to the women’s bathroom is just a curtain.

SingaporeProperty lacked a dryer but that’s ok (nearest laundromat was 6mins walk away so not too bad) with complimentary washing! Bathroom could be more secure especially for solo travellers, since there’s not door or lock anyone of the opposite gender could enter the bathroom :(
Place looks exactly like the pictures! Cozy, helpful staff and decent location! Sufficient toilets too!

Shared showers in the 5th floor and there is also free washing machine on the roof top to use. WIFI worked great although it was only usuable via QRcode. There is a kitchen in the lobby you can freely use and the owners are very kind and helpful. Definitely recommendable!
