Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo bar, which was a shame. A drink would have been nice in the evening. We stayed longer in the dining room to have a drink. Not a great atmosphere for eating / drinking. Possibly thought about lighting and music would help. Very expensive to play pool.
Dinner and breakfast had excellent choices. We all loved the Aomori Apple sorbet, juice, jam and apple pizza! The views from our window, the corridor windows and the dining room. The Onsen, yukata and iced water. Ping pong and X box Tables in reception to chat and play cards. The staff were lovely.

Isolated little resort that offered a good variety of facilities for a short stay (would have stayed longer if powder is on the mountain) Ski staff and food service staff very helpful and friendly. Resort staff ok.

AustraliaMy wife and I stayed here in early February and had an excellent stay. We were blessed with outstanding snowfall during our stay and so the whole vibe of the hotel and other guests was very upbeat. The facilties are great and the onsen bath is outstanding. The rooms and beds are comfortable and like many Japanese ski resorts you have to create your own entertainment of an evening. The breakfast and dinner are both buffet style and we enjoyed all our meals. We stayed 6 nights and the variety of meals was starting to wear a little thin, but generally the food was of high quality. The staff were excellent and there was always someone on hand who spoke English , because our Japanes language skills are very bad. This is a genuine ski in ski out location with a ski locker room which has direct access to the slopes. A very well run hotel with good facilities.

JapanI didn't enjoy that it was difficult to connect to the wifi, though I suppose it's also because we are on a mountain. I did think that the blankets were a little thin and one night it felt like the heating was off, so I was very cold.
I really loved how it was right on the ski resort, so I could literally ski in and ski out. I also loved the onsen though the outside rotenburo was a little too hot. The dinner and breakfast buffet was also delicious.

AustraliaThe absence of drink machines with the ability to obtain basic alcoholic drinks. There was no laundry, which would be worthwhile for longer staying visitors.
The staff were wonderfully friendly, a few spoke English really well. The rooms are smallish, but manageable and have everything you need. The onsen is small but quite lovely, just don’t choose the peak times to go there.

This is the place to stay for ski in ski out Aomori Springs Ski Resort. It is not the cheapest but it is good value if you want ski in ski out accommodation that is spacious and comfortable. The ski locker amenities are excellent and there is excellent baggage storage for early check in late check out. They will keep all your ski bags throughout your stay so no clogging up your room space. The property is not the newest but the refurbishments are good. Onsen is excellent (definitely check the outdoor pool. Great views towards the sea of Japan!

JapanThis was our second stay at this hotel, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. On our first visit, we had a room facing the parking lot, but we were pleasantly surprised by the stunning view. This time, we stayed on the mountain side, and the scenery was just as breathtaking. The outdoor onsen was, as always, a highlight of our stay—relaxing with the natural surroundings made it even more special. The hotel's atmosphere and accommodating staff continue to impress, and we can't wait to return!

SingaporeIf you don't ski, or do any snow activities, there is nothing much for you to do in the hotel - of course there is table tennis, billard table, onsen. Fortunately, we have a rental car that we can drive to Hirosaki and Tsugaru.
A cosy enclave in the snow blizzard. Good tasty selection of food for breakfast and dinner.

Netherlandsthe hotel is meant for people who are in the area for skiing/snow sports as there is not much around or to do other than skiing. if you are among this category, then the hotel is perfect as it provides everything you need from rental to food to onsen at a very reasonable price. and its literally next to the lift.

JapanWish the staff were quicker to respond to email/booking.com messages otherwise it was a great stay and I’d definitely stay a 3rd time! I also wish they had communal facilities like a microwave.
2nd time staying here for skiing as it is one of the more affordable ski in and out places. Big rooms (and great view from our room of the ski field), comfortable bed and big vanity area which was useful since we had to wash baby stuff. Good food and great onsen. We had our 2mth old and got there at 9am however couldn’t check in till 3pm so they gave the theatre room for my MIL to use privately rather than the foyer. I was also able to put my esky for baby stuff in their fridge since check in wasn’t till 3pm.
