There isn’t a whole lot to do in Fuji city, but this hostel allows you to access hiking to Mt Fuji and visiting lakes and waterfalls nearby (using local busses +/- local trains).

We stayed for 2 nights in the bunk bed in the mixed dormitory room which was very comfortable and spacious. There were only 2 double beds in this dorm and we had it all to ourselves as there was no one else staying in the other bed which was really nice! The double bed was really comfortable and big (good for two people over 180cm). The AC worked well and there was also a privacy curtain on the bed and door to the dorm and it was nice and quiet. There were lockers in the dorm too. The communal showers, toilets and kitchen were clean. I The owner was very friendly and recommended a really good ramen restaurant nearby and there was also a 7 eleven close by. The station and the Shinkansen station were within walking distance. There was a washing machine and dryer available for a small charge. Also there was a view of Mt Fuji from the front door as we left on the last day (see photo)!

Stuff was so nice and friendly:) I was the only guest unlucky but they welcomed me and had a good conversation. Personally I really loved the curtain hanging on the side of the bed lol It protected me from the light and that helped me sleep better during the night.

Great place in Fuji and you can see the mt Fuji from the hostel. The public areas are just too great! If you are visit Fuji, this is the hostel to stay.

we had a good one night stay, the japanese room is so comfortable, we woke up to mount fuji view , it was really beautiful. the place is clean and we loved it. it is quite far from the city centre, we rented a car to reach there, otherwise it was a walkable distance from shin fuji station and fuji station.

The only downside is the transport as buses only run every hour or so. Hiring a car would be a good idea.

Nazu was a very welcoming host who also assisted us with information regarding local transport. The property was clean and had all the amenities needed. The bed in the dorm was exceptionally comfortable and spacious. Lockers are provided in the dorm. The property is located in a residential area which is very quiet. This is the first place we have stayed that has felt homely. Great place to meet other travellers.

The best part of my stay here was the host, he is so friendly, helpful and is always there to greet you with a smile. The hostel has a great kitchen, clean bathrooms and a real homely feel. Definitely recommend.

The fuji view was not available the day we visited.

We stayed a night at Nasubi before visiting Mt. Fuji. We arrived late into Haneda and drove to the property. The host was very accommodating and was prompt with communication. The room was comfy and the shared bathroom was very clean with cute Totoro decorations. Parking was only extra 500 yen, making our trip very convenient. The host went out of his way to help us with our cash situation. Don't expect luxury but it was a very comfy stay and what we needed.

Had an amazing stay at Nasubi Backpacker hostel. The host was super friendly and helped me a lot. Had a lot of information about the area. Also everything is well maintained and clean. Would recommend everybody. Thanks for the stay!
