Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SlovakiaStandard hotel in a sleepy part of the town. Breakfast was okay though nothing special. You can use onsen at the top floor but it works on timetable for man/woman and during the week it seemed to have only man schedule. The only issue I have with the room is the pillow which was too hard for me to sleep on comfortably

PortugalIt is on the second floor, so you have to carry the luggage up. It is ~1km from the Katsuta train station.
The hotel has a charming, old-fashioned appearance but offers a very pleasant stay. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is a great choice for families, as they are very welcoming to children—my child even received special gifts from the hotel owner. Additionally, there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, making it a convenient location. I highly recommend this hotel.

ThailandLobby is on the second floor but no elevator for elders this is very bad. Rooms were quite dusty especially in the Wardrope. Manager could not speak English at all but sometimes they have an Indian man to help translate. Limited car parking spaces. Vending machine was broken but no any sign/notice for the customers until we had a dispute how to get money back. Inside the hotel there is only one elevator with limit 4-5 people max. I did not see fire exit for emergency case.
Nothing.

ThailandFirstly, limited parking spaces then no lift to the hotel lobby as it is located on the 2nd floor so very hard for elders to walk up and down. Staff could not speak English except an assistant which I guess he is Indian and he assisted in translating on the check-in date but after that I never see him again. After checking out we can leave our luggage max.4 luggage. Rooms were dusty especially in the Wardrope. Smelling like mold on some rooms.
Nothing apart from not far from JR Katsuta Station if you drive.

United KingdomThe bathroom unfortunately didn't have AC which in the summer when I stayed meant it was very warm in there unless I left the bathroom door open to allow the air from the room to enter. The automatic function on my AC didn't seem to stop the fans from keeping it at the temperature I wanted, it'd always drop lower, but honestly given how hot it was during the week I was there (30-36c most days) I can't say it caused me any big issues!
The hotel is in a really nice location on one of the older shopping streets of Hitachinaka. It's close by to a lot of really useful locations such as the station, a few convenience stores and a lot of nice cafe's and resturaunts. The room itself was a nice size and given my height (195cm) I was a little worried I'd have a few problems with bumping into things, but had no such issues. The staff at the hotel were all incredibly helpful and every day I had clean towels, tissues and a bottle of water delivered to my room which was a nice touch. The vending machines on site offered a nice selection of drinks and cup ramen and the availability of a coin laundry machine on site was very welcome. The hotel itself was very clean also. I had a pretty amazing view out of the fifth floor as well over a lot of Hitachinaka.

JapanThe hotel wasn’t new, and completely clean. But enough cleaned up. Most of guests smoke, I guess. So sometimes smelled like cigarettes.
Staffs were very kind and gentle. There were many free amenities like flipflops and shampoos for kids, air cleaners and so on at the front. Family rooms had enough space, and we could use washing machines for free. There was a laundry room on the same floor, so we could use a dryer after using a washing machine. We had a very relaxing time in this hotel.
