FranceI don't really see any negative things to mention regarding this hotel other than the reception is closed from 2am to 5am, though all public transports don't run during that window so that's not really an issue in itself.
Ideally located near ueno station (10 mins away on foot) which allows you to visit all iconic places in Tokyo without spending hours on public transports. This hotel is clean, fonctionnal and the staff is really friendly. The room is pretty small but possesses all necessary equipment for you to have a comfortable stay.

ChinaThe morning cleaning can be a bit loud because it’s an old building. If you are a morning person, there won’t be any problem. But if you are used to getting up late, make sure you have your earplug on.
The staff was super nice and friendly. They managed to check me in hours before my check in time which is such a surprise for me. The location was quite convenient, close to the Ueno station and has lots of restaurants around.

ItalyThe bathroom, although very clean and new, has a very fluctuating hot water pressure. For me, the fact that there is no elevator was not a problem at all, but I think it could be a considerable problem for older people.
The hotel is very well located, very close to Ueno Station which takes you anywhere in Tokyo and Japan but far enough away from that area of heavy traffic and noise, in a more residential area. There are many good restaurants and convenience stores within 100m of the hotel. The staff speaks better English than the average in other hotels and is very friendly. The hotel is very clean and quiet.

Checked in and got 2nd floor room. Not sure if that was the lowest available room that time or it was randomly assigned. Terrible comms from the hotel. Other than that, no other complaints. Room and bed being small is expected.

I loved how close this hotel was to Ueno station. Only a 6 min walk. They also let us keep our luggage in the dining area when we had a few hours before our bullet train left and when we had to checkout. Also, the one staff member made us hot water for our ramen without us even asking. So sweet! They also cleaned our room every day.

The 3-bed room is rare in the market, and the size of the room is quite big. The staff is nice but the key should be returned every day for security reasons. Only stairs. Fortunately, the max floor is only 3.
