Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was dirt and dust on the scale in the bathroom and a few other places. We also asked for some extra water and they said no which I wouldn’t have cared about but then they gave us water when we checked out so kinda weird.
Cool looking place, great coffee.

United StatesThe walls were thin and someone upstairs was running back and forth for at least 2 hours. Also heard knocking next door as I was trying to sleep and was awakened several times around 12 am. I booked here hoping for a good night's sleep. Once I was able to sleep things went well. Might want to turn on some white noise if you get noisy neighbors like us.
The rooms were large. The beds were comfortable. Loved the modernized rooms and toiletries. Warmed toilet seat and deep tub for bathing was awesome. Loved the café next door for working.

AustraliaThe only concern we encountered was that the TV remote control and some of the in-room signage were available only in Japanese. Providing an English version alongside would have been greatly appreciated.
Nikko Style Nagoya exemplifies contemporary style through its thoughtfully designed interiors and spacious guest rooms, reflecting classic Japanese aesthetics. The beds offer exceptional comfort, and the hotel’s commitment to environmental sustainability is noteworthy. Breakfast features an impressive selection of both Japanese and Western cuisine, presented with great attention to detail. Conveniently located just 750 meters from the railway station, the property provides easy access to local attractions and shopping districts. Additionally, the staff demonstrate a high level of professionalism and are consistently courteous and helpful. The area surrounding the hotel features numerous small restaurants and izakaya, each providing a diverse selection of culinary options. Additionally, a supermarket is conveniently located just one block away.

AustraliaOverall a nice stay. Probably the only hotel that was strict about their check in time, but understandable.
The hotel was a lovely, kind of boutique in style with nice rooms, a restaurant, and amenity. We appreciated the hotel breakfast and the location close to various train stations we needed.

TaiwanThe only thing we don't like that much is the location. It took us 15 mins walk from the train station to the hotel. However, being that said ,the hot summer should take the most of the blame. If the weather is nice, it would be a great walk. And it only cost you around ¥900 for taking a taxi from hotel to station (vice versa).
Everything! You can find the care in every details, such as lobby/room facilities, furnitures, smell, and the size of the room! It is really rare to find a hotel in Japan that have space for you to open your suitcase while still have room to walk. I also have to say the staffs are very kind and efficient. We made an early check in around 11am, and left our luggages at the hotel. But when we come back around 9pm, our luggages were already put in our room. (We didn't ask for it, but it was sooooo thoughtful!) In the morning when we checked out, I just want to check if the frontdesk can help us call a taxi (later), but before one staff just answer "yes", another staff already picked up a phone and dialled to the taxi! We enjoyed our staying at Nikko Style, totally recommend this place!

GermanyVery rigid bar policy where every person has to order a drink, even if one person ordered 2 drinks and another is joining for a couple of minutes only, it’s not enough. I think it could be less conservative and more flexible.

GuamNone. We enjoyed our stay here.
Very clean hotel, modern and fresh design, polite and warm staff. Room is more spacious than usual hotels in Japan. I booked this hotel for my daughter’s birthday and requested balloons and cake. The staff were able to assist me in ordering the balloon delivery and the hotel has cakes available for purchase. I also made a dinner reservation and availed of their 5th anniversary course dinner. The food was amazing, so flavorful and pretty. They also have their own coffee blend which is very smooth. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and convenience stores. Quick taxi ride from the Nagoya Station. Overall me and my family enjoyed our stay here and I would stay here again when I visit Nagoya. Thank you!
