Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaA burner and pot and pan would have been nice.
It was an old but great place to stay. I was told the rooms used to be smoking but it was fine. We enjoyed the very kind staff and that it was clean and in our budget. There was a fridge, microwave kettle and enough dishes for us. No you can't cook but we knew that going in. Really liked that it had a comfy couch!

AustraliaLet's face it, she's pretty run down. And given there's no shopping within 5km, a few utensils in the kitchenette would be helpful for self-catering. Coffee sachets etc too might be a welcome touch. I bought some plastic plates/bowls from DCM to make breakfast! But really, no complaints.
More like a little flat than a hotel. Perfect if you just want to ski and have a car. It's a little isolated for those without one. Very roomy for Japan, with a huge spa bath, queen bed, couch, separate toilet - and a private garage underneath for the car, which is awesome for snowy Niseko!

CanadaRoom had odour from cigarette smoke and when booked for three people the Futon provided was thin. Because of the condition of the Futon, this room would be better listed solely as a two person room. If they provided a better mattress for a third it would be adequate.
Good value for money in an expensive area. Kettle provided and clean bathroom facilities including a jacuzzi tub. Room was spacious for two people and sufficient for three.

New ZealandAs previous reviews stated, rooms stink of smoke. Relatively clean room but I moved the beds and it appeared to have not been vacuumed in a very long time. Price was OK. You get what you pay for.
Location is good, not in Niseko but only a 9 minute drove from Grand Hirafu. Big room with a nice bath. Its a good spot if you’re staying for a while. Big fridge, a microwave and kettle. Private parking spot with each apartment which is nice. Would stay again.

AustraliaThe room smelled a little bit of cigarette smoke.
Great value for money in a good location if you have a car, or are happy to work around a fickle bus timetable. Staff were friendly, room was clean and spacious.

CanadaWe didn’t know our room was a smoking room, it would have been nice to have a non-smoking room since we don’t like the smell/toxins. Make sure to book a non-smoking room is that important to you.
We enjoyed our stay here, staff were very helpful. The parking was great so we didn’t have to clean snow off the car. Room was spacious and clean. We booked this for a ski trip. We would recommend staying here.

AustraliaThe room could do with some up-dating. No twin rooms were available.
The room was spacious. If you had a car, the location is only 10-15 minutes from ski fields.

AustraliaI didn't realise when I booked that it was a love hotel. That's not a problem, but I would have liked to have known when I booked. Usually Booking.com does make that obvious, but not in this case. Buses are infrequent so I hitchhiked to and from the train station.
It was a short walking distance to get to the start of the hiking path up Mt Yotei. Management insisted on cash and as such I didn't have to pay Booking.com who said that the cheapest option was no longer available when I booked. However when I arrived the cheapest option was available and management was able to swap me to that room.

United StatesThe bus times to Niseko and back to Youraku are limited so just make sure you catch the bus when it's running. Otherwise a taxi ride will cost about 2800 yen from the Max Valu to Youraku.
This hotel is the best value within close range of Niseko. It's especially convenient if you have a car but you can still access Niseko from here by bus: take the Donar bus outside the hotel to the Max Valu stop and then hop on one of the free Niseko resort shuttle busses from there. This hotel is also accessible to Rusutsu via a direct Donar bus that picks up outside the hotel and drops right in front of the Rusutsu resort. It's advised to pick up food before you arrive at this hotel because there's nothing within walking distance. The rooms are big and include a fridge, microwave, pot for boiling water, and many amenities. There are private hot tub baths in the rooms for relaxation after a day of skiing. And there's a garage to park your vehicle if you drove there.

Good bang for your buck. I asked for a no smoking room so that definitely made a difference! It was clean and the staff was great. Kinda cool it had a car port so you didn’t have to wipe of your car.
