Nothing - the stay was perfect.

The rooms were beautiful and the staff were so friendly. The onsen was one of the best in town.

    ---

As Europeans, it takes some time to get used to the onsen concept. Not the bathing itself, but the fact that the entire place is essentially dedicated to bathing. The place — as well as the hotel — will always remain in our fond memories. The staff is friendly, the rooms clean and the onsen authentically integrated in your stay.

Slightly impersonal. A ginger ale or soft drink was not covered under the welcome drink, but beer and wine was. We paid for ginger ales which seemed silly.

The onsen was beautiful. The dinner was very special

It was a bit stuffy and hot in the room and the ac was not properly maintained (dust came out after turning on), but we opted to open the window and it was fine. The pillow was a bit hard for me personally, but I didn't request a change so no complaints.

We stayed in the japanese style room. Everything was amazing, I seriously have nothing to add. We also added private onsen and kaiseki dinner to our stay, highly reccomend. We weren't able to make it to breakfast so staff made us a lunchbox, which was wonderful.

Such a lovely stay here. From the start my room was impressive and better than the pictures. The rooms are huge and very modern with everything you need. One of the best part in the property is its own onsen with internal/external pool, sauna, massage chair. The lounge and store are cosy and lovely to browse and relax in. Staff and Restaurant were amazing! The food and presentation was flawless and delicious. You are very close to the other public onsens. I walked to them all which was enjoyable but there is a very convenient service shuttle bus for morning, afternoon and evenings drop off and pick ups

The value for your money didn’t seem quite worth it - we paid top dollar (much more than our hotels in Kyoto and Tokyo which had comparable facilities). Our room faced the parking lot and buildings which was disappointing as the hotel seemed quite empty.

The property is very beautiful and well maintained and clean. The onsen was especially beautiful - and it was hardly ever full (I had it to myself multiple times!) - better than any of the public bathhouses. We also had dinner the first night and it was exceptional - we didn’t expect to have our own room! While the property is furthest away from the town we did not mind this. The free shuttle was very useful in getting our luggage to and from the train station!

We stayed at the Nishimuraya Hotel in Kinosaki, and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is very impressive and beautiful, with top-notch service. The staff are extremely professional. The rooms, which are traditional ryokan style, looked fantastic. Room service was excellent, everything was very comfortable, and the view was beautiful. We got to the hotel using the free shuttle they provided. The hotel also arranged traditional Japanese kaiseki dinners, which were simply amazing. It was a true feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Kinosaki is known for its onsen, and we visited all of them, but we liked the one at our hotel the most. It was spacious, had a beautiful courtyard view, and even a sauna, which you won't find in other onsens. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing us with extra clothing because it was cold, and they even allowed a late checkout so we could enjoy the hotel's facilities after checking out. Overall, it was a wonderful two days, and we felt like we were in paradise. Everything was very relaxing, meditative, beautiful, and of the highest quality.

Unforgettable stay. While the hotel is not small it still carries a high end boutique feel. I can't say enough about the hotel's staff, rooms and grounds. We stayed three nights in a gorgeous traditional room with tatamis on the 6th floor overlooking a majestic pines valley. Waking up to this sight was a dream. The entire suite was gorgeous. Fresh flowers and budding branches every day as well as beautifully wrapped fresh treats. Such a serene atmosphere! The onsen (hot mineral bath) on site is also lovely as well as the lounge area where we had a daily beverage (provided free of charge with our accommodation) gazing at a lovely waterfall . The hotel is 5 minutes by foot from the small town and we visited every single other onsen there as well. The town is lovely with many restaurants, coffee shops and a beautiful hike to a couple temples that we were able to visit. We had ordered traditional dinners in our room. What a treat! This was a two hours dinner curated by a staff member. Again absolutely stunning. Finally I must mention the large breakfast hall where you could find absolutely anything from traditional Japanese food to western continental breakfast. The food was EXQUISITE. Roasted chestnuts and sweet potatoes, shumais, perfectly grilled small salmon filets, lychees and excellent coffee among many other things. I still dream about it...

The location is a little far out of town, but ok with the bus. The in-town ryokans are more convenient. The outside of the hotel was not too pleasing to look at, it looked too blocky when we'd stayed at the Honkan the night before and that had an exceptional feel.

The Personal dining room was fantastic, the meals were exceptional, the room was large and comfortable, the staff were very accommodating and helpful, facilities were fantastic. The welcome drinks were a nice touch.
