Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe stairs are quite steep for carrying heavy luggage but we managed.
A spacious room, with all we needed for a one night stop. Convenient for Asakusa sights and nearby shops for snacks and drinks. We were able to leave our luggage after the stated check out time

United StatesWish there was an elevator for our big luggage. However it was only a short flight of stairs (we live in SF and are used to climbs)
Spacious, view, coffee shop (Lucent Coffee) below in the same building, proximity to multiple train lines, quiet, excellent shower!!! The folks running were very responsive and we are grateful for their flexibility.

United StatesThe room was perfect. I loved its size, and the bathroom was lovely! I will definitely go back to that hotel. I highly recommend it. Also the location was very near 3 metro stations that's a big plus!

SingaporeWe had luggage, there was no lift and had to climb up to the third floor
Stayed on the 3rd floor. Tasteful and modern. Nice concept. Great for a short stay in Tokyo. Location itself is near the station. Most key shopping places are still 20-30 minutes away by subway, but if you prefer a quieter area with a bit of charm, you will like this.

United StatesDon't think this place would have suited us for more than one night due to its self-described "no service" -- we normally like a more communal lodging. Also, the hotel is right on the main street, so there was some traffic noise.
Pretty basic accommodations that fit our need for a one-night stay in Taito city. Hotel is easy to find, bed was quite comfortable and the room has a nice style. Host clearly communicated check-in instructions. Blocks from the bustling center of Asakusa - this was a great spot to start our sightseeing for the day from.

AustraliaI know this place is literally called no service hotel but it would have been nice if the staff responding to our messages were a little more helpful with our transportation enquiries instead of us feeling like we were a pain
Loved the location, and the style of the room. Spacious clean shower, slippers that actually fit my larger feet. Coffee downstairs was fantastic. Quiet room, and one of the more spacious hotels we have stayed at in Japan

TaiwanBe aware there is no elevator. And the stairs are steep, so when you carry luggage, it's frustrating. And although the lighting was in warm colour, which is very good, yet most of them are set from the top, making the room lack of cosiness.
The interior is well-designed and goes along with plenty of design magazines.

United KingdomUnfortunately we left half way through our booking. The bed was so hard it hurt my back (Japanese beds are hard, but this was even worse than most). Considering it is on a busy street, the windows are very flimsy and let in a lot of cold air and a lot of noise even with earplugs. We messaged the staff to ask about whether there were blinds on the windows that we couldn’t see, as we couldn’t believe how thin the curtains were. The room was glowing at night time from the street lights outside. Unfortunately the room was not comfortable enough to sleep in, which is a shame because it looked nice.
The aesthetics were great and the staff were responsive via messages, but sadly couldn’t do anything about our problems. There is a great coffee shop downstairs.
