It was centrally located in the heart of the city. We like the comfortable resort feel with a natural modern Japanese aesthetic. You can see the lit up Kumamoto castle from the hotel’s patio.

Room is rather small for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Location is perfect, right next to fews shopping malls and streets. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Room is perfectly clean and new. Cafe is great.

Breakfast is good for our 2 days stay, tho limited choices. The rooms are clean and they have air purifier in every room. We love the location, as it is very close to all shopping areas and just walking distance to Kumamoto Castle. The toilet and the shower area are separate, making it easy for a family of 4 of us to manage the timing of using the toilet and taking shower.

Their breakfast features a Western-fusion style, which didn’t quite match our preference for Japanese or Asian-style breakfast. However, that’s purely a matter of personal taste and not a reflection on the quality of the breakfast itself.

We spent three nights in one of the Yagura Rooms A and absolutely loved the decor. With the sleeping area positioned upstairs, it felt like having two separate rooms, providing plenty of space. The beds were super comfortable, and the room itself was quiet. The hotel also features a café/bar and a lovely terrace lounge with a view of the castle. Its location is convenient, close to shops, restaurants, and bars. We would gladly stay here again.

Location! It’s right in the middle of the shopping district. And the rooms are huge and has a mini kitchen and washing machine with a dryer. Love it and will recommend to friends

Hitting head on the upper bunk. That’s gonna sting for a while.

The staff was really nice and made us feel welcome. The deck was lovely to hang out on overlooking the Main Street. The breakfast was delicious! Comfortable room and great value.

No in-room phones. We had difficulties reaching other rooms (multiple rooms booked for our trip). Some of our elderly family members don't have personal phones. Also, there is no way to contact the reception desk—needed to go down there physically, which was inconvenient.

Perfect location, especially for first-time visitors to Kumamoto. Friendly and helpful staff.

I would have expected more service for the price I paid. Also, there is no drop off lobby so it was very inconvenient for my family when checking in and checking out as we had to juggle luggages and kids. Wouldn’t recommend if you have a combination of: lots of luggage, driving and kids.

The headroom of the upper bed is a bit low, I bumped my head a few times.

This is such a great option with kids! Though the mattresses up top a way more comfortable, so we sent our kids down the bottom on the second night 🤣🤷‍♀️ Everything you need in house or close by. Beautiful city!

The location is excellent. Transportation was easily accessible and abundant. The train station is a short taxi ride away. Shopping and food are all within a short walking distance from the hotel.

Modern, clean and well positioned hotel in the centre and near Kumamoto Temple. Our room was a loft with two large futons and a couch downstairs. Likely we were not asked to pay extra, because this is not what I have booked. No Cable TV was connected in our room either. Breakfast menu had only 4 items on the menu. Coffee machine was only working from 2 pm 😢
