Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalThe buffet food was quite median. Not very good. It was an interesting experience, and the place was full of japanese families, and that was nice, but the food was nothing special. The place is a bit far from the station. You can book a pickup for a small fee, but it is hard to communicate with them if you are from abroad (no whatsapp or similar). We walked on our way in, and used the pickup going away.
The room, a japanese-style one, was clean and comfortable, a bit old, but pleasant. The view was good, if one sat by the window, one could see the green mountain, and it was very nice. The beds were comfortable. The yucatas were good. The onsen facilities were also nice, with plenty of shampoo and cream and foot massage machine, but not as nice as the other Oedo Onsen Monogatari. They gave you the possibility of going to the other Ooedo Onsen, which has a really nice outside onsen, and to the public onsen, a beautiful wooden old structure, a very pleasant experience too. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Naruko has a decadent feel about it, but we loved it. And we ate very well (outside) and had a great time.

AustraliaI arranged a pick up for station at 330pm, first they replied a message and asked me to call them after I arrive at station but within two minutes another message told me no need to call driver will be there 330, I waited until 340, no driver, my overseas phone can only message I did twice but no reply! At the end I begged information centre staff to make a call and got driver came! First time happened during my two months trip in japan! Most of hotels got drivers waiting before I arrived! Japanese service is dropping!!!

JapanSince there are few dining options nearby, make sure to carefully check your plan.
Located at the entrance of Naruko Onsen Village, this inn offers two kinds of hot springs: white water and black water. If you're a hot spring enthusiast, you should definitely visit. The meals are also famous, so I'm looking forward to enjoying them next time.

AustraliaWe also checked out the annexe onsen which was rather uninspiring. The buffet meal choice was extensive which was good, but the food hall lacked a bit of ambience. We stayed in a smoking room because that was all that was left, and as you’d expect for non-smokers, it smelled pretty bad. Who'd have thought there was still such a thing as a smoking room in a hotel? One night an absolute racket was going on downstairs – it ended up that our room was right above the seafood bashing prep room (our translation might have been a bit off!) so we had to ask if they could only bash the fish during non-sleeping hours!
We stayed at this hotel as a base to ski at Onikoube for Powderhounds.com. We were hoping that Naruko Onsen would be a cute little onsen town, and whilst this hotel and a few other hotels were aesthetically nice, the village itself looked really tired and run down. The room had plenty of space and it was nice that it had an ensuite bathroom. The main 6th floor onsen was the better looking onsen and we thought we were accustomed to hot onsen, but this one was particularly hot. There was a small outdoor onsen with fake bamboo screening. The indoor onsen was nicer, with its views across the town & mountains.

SingaporeI didn't stay longer!
The place is quaint, quiet and hospitable. We like how spacious the room is and it is extremely clean too. The hotel staff are polite and professional, providing us with clear instructions upon check-in. The baths were great too! They also have plenty of parking spaces to cater to the guests.

TaiwanBe aware of the lingering smell of smoke in the room, as it’s an older hotel and the odor is difficult to remove.
Overall, the hotel was great and had some entertainment equipment. The onsen was one of the best amenities and the main reason I would choose this hotel again in the future.

AustraliaThe bath on the ground floor in the other building was nice but small and it wasn’t outside. It’s better to just go to the 6th floor bath. Wifi is only available in the lobby area but sometimes it’s a nice thing so you don’t spend too much time looking at your phone.
The property was clean, spacious, and in a lovely location with a view of the mountains from the room. The bath on the 6th floor was lovely and the little outdoor section was a nice experience in the cool weather. The baths have all the things you need for your washing and skin care so you can just bring a towel if you want. The buffet was SO GOOD! Highly recommend getting half board during your stay. The other facilities like the table tennis, manga room, etc. were nice too. Karaoke is pay per hour per person. Also, the staff were extremely friendly and professional. They always helped us with any questions and brought a baby chair for us every mealtime.

JapanThe linens seemed clean, but was did have the distinct smoker smell.
The buffet food was terrific, and beyond what we expected for the price. There was a lot of local delicacies (like hoya sashimi and hiyajiru) that did not disappoint at all.
