Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe path getting there is a bit dangerous during the winter, and there's no advertised meal heating service like a microwave. But it's mitigated by the markets nearby. There's also only one local restaurant in the evening after the coffee shop closes so you're limited in your local options. The bed is also like a futon, so very low to the ground which may affect some people
The room itself was very clean, situated near a train station two stops away from Odori Park with a a convenience store and supermarket nearby. The staff were welcoming, and helpful in getting me situated. The bed was comfortable, and the room was very secure. And the coffee shop associated with it makes a good brew

New ZealandMinor things that didn't affect the stay in negative ways: The nice kitchen only has mugs, no basic cutlery sets. However, you can request from the reception. Rooms are not soundproof, can definitely hear most of the movements from upstairs. It was really noisy if someone was stomping or dragging furniture/ luggage.
The room was very spacious, with a comfortable, two large beds. It was bigger than we expected. The couch and coffee table area was a really nice set up. Love the minimalistic concept. QR code keycode was interesting, but we're given the key just in case any issue. Convenient store just across the road, local supermarket within 5mins walk & next to the nearest station.

United StatesIts a bit of a trek in the snow in winter to get to the station. The pillow was not very comfortable. There was a charge for 20 minute late checkout that was not clear on the initial booking page.
The coffee is good, the staff is very kind and helpful. There is a coworking space available that is very helpful for working. The cafe is Morihico coffee and is very high end but also the price reflects it.

JapanWith 4 people occupancy, they only provide 2 towels. Very slow internet connection in the room located in the annex building is dissappointing. There were loud noises heard at 1:00 AM.
Very close from the nearest train station (Kikusui St), and conveniently located just in front of Family Mart. Got a coffee shop in the lobby area. A warm and welcoming staffs. The room is quite spacious. Washing machine and dryer is located on the 1st floor of the annex building.

AustraliaThe only downside was that you couldn’t turn-off the automatic sensor light in the entry way/outside the bathroom- it would wake up one person when the other person used the bathroom in the night.
It was close to a supermarket and near the subway (only 2 stops to the main part of the city). The staff were friendly and it was helpful having two sinks/kitchenette area in the room. The bed configuration was good for friends (not close side by side but head to head with a bench in-between). The only downside was that you couldn’t turn-off the automatic sensor light in the entry way/outside the bathroom- it would wake up one person when the other person used the bathroom in the night.

CanadaI heard someone's cough very clearly like if someone is at the corner of the room, so I worried the wall is very thin.....but I didn't hear other noises, but I was trying to be quiet.
Close to subway station. Cafe is downstairs. Bed is comfortable.

United KingdomI found the beds a little stiff but otherwise all lovely.
Very nice coffee shop, right near the train lines to odori, plenty of food options in an easily walkable area. Rooms were a reasonable size for Japan.

SingaporeEverything was great except for the most important thing, the beds. The beds and pillows were not as comfortable considering the price we were paying and the other great amenities they had in the room. It was quite disappointing.
The location was good with convenient shops, a supermarket, and train stations close by. It was also situated in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Lastly, the room was very spacious which is rather hard to find.

New ZealandIt is pretty far way from most of the restaurants in Sapporo so you will have a little walk to get there. Having said that, there are some local eateries that need some experimenting to find and there are good places to eat there. Just remember that most sights are across the river.
The hotel is part of a coffee shop and it pretty into coffee, you get coffee and a grinder as welcome gift and that coffee is good! The rooms are modern and comfy. You can actually open a window to let some fresh air in (not too common in Japan)

SwitzerlandExtremely small room. We travelled with backpacks, and barely had space to turn around. Even though the bed was large and comfortable to sleep, the room was just way too tiny for two persons.
Right next to the subway station and there is a supermarket open 24/7. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was spacious. One can even open the window to let some fresh air in.

JapanWhile great, the breakfast has only 2 options, and it takes a while to get served, so for a long stay it can get a little tedious. The sauna seems to be always fully booked, and it is not easy to book it anyways, especially because the staff's English is a little limited.
Stylish hotel with comfortable rooms and a nice lounge to relax with a book or work. The breakfast and the coffee are excellent. The location is not central, but it is just 2 min walk away from the subway station, which puts the city center just 5 - 10 min away. Alternatively, 20 min walk will take you to the Susukino area. Would definitely stay there again.

CanadaWifi service was not the best. The room layout was a little strange. A little noisy as the walls are a bit thin. The sauna must be booked and is quite expensive to reserve.
Beautiful cafe and common spaces. Rooms are like private apartments.

JapanWe didn’t have breakfast included but we assumed we could order breakfast if we changed our mind. But when we asked for breakfast the morning of, they said we had to order it the evening before, even though this wasn’t mentioned during check in. The hotel also has a sauna/spa but was fully booked for 2 days, which was disappointing. The location of the hotel was quite far from the city center but could be reached easily by train.
The room was a good size and we slept very comfortably. No noise issues. We also received a free welcome drink (coffee, tea or juice), which was a nice touch.
