Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanIt served its purpose since I was only there for a night. But maybe for ¥8000, one would expect a bathtub or access to the kitchen. Although the fridge and microwave were helpful. And the shampoo and body wash bottles didn't have labels. I couldn't tell which is which
My sole purpose was to see that iconic slam dunk opening scene. And this location was so convenient. You can just walk and enjoy the beach on your way back and forth. There's also a grocery store nearby if you want to save up on food. Their bento was affordable and delish

GermanyAll good
The staff was friendly and helpful, the area was great, right at the beach and close to enoshima . It's a great choice for one or two nights if you want to travel during the day. It's a normal Japanese house, so no sterile hotel. 1 minute from the station and around 15 min walk to enoshima. The pictures on the page are what you get. No luxury but good, clean basic housing.

United StatesYou might take a few minutes to find it: at the google map location there is an (empty) restaurant, but you'll see a drawing on the front door which tells you (in english) to walk 1 min in the same street to the main building. Once you know it, it is easy.
The staff is amazingly nice. You get what you booked for, the location is great (extremely close to the tram station and close to the beach). Enoshima Island is easily accessible by foot and Kamakura is close in tram. Would book again.

JapanVery narrow entrance from the back between 2 buildings. There is open space with 1 tiny table to sit 2 persons, and 2 shower rooms next to it. Toilets and rooms are on the 2nd floor. The stairway is VERY steep, which could be dangerous if you have heavy luggage or of a certain age. No kitchen utilities (like cups, chopsticks etc). Just nothing. Light switches on the 1st floor - hard to find them.
The room was clean, air-conditioning worked properly. Decent wi-fi.

MexicoThe property exposed in the picture doesn’t correspond to the actual hostel. If you look for the hotel in the map, it says it’s permanently closed! So we had a bad time figuring out where was the property. Once we arrived, they send us to check in in another building two blocks away from where we slept. The hostess was kind and friendly

JapanI didn't like how it was a 3-minute walk from the restaurant featured in the advertisement for this room. The old man at the restaurant spoke good enough English. He was very accommodating, friendly and made us comfortable. He even suggested good places to eat that are still open after 9pm. The other man who handles the keys to the actual apartment, we were kind of weirded out with. He was okay but doesn't make eye contact and doesn't answer when asked. I think he is special needs but please don't quote me on this. Also, when he was leading us to the actual apartment which I said was a 3-minute walk from the restaurant, I got scared and we were tired and we were hauling our heavy luggage so you can imagine the discomfort and frustration we felt when we asked him where we are going and he was not answering. What made me dislike the property was there was another tenant who was staying at the same place maybe a few days before us and he poked my butthole while I was trying to put on my shoes (when my friend and I were leaving). His name was Mario and he claimed to be a Mexican traveler. So creepy. He gave us the heebie jeebies even the night before our departure. So weird. Please get a pepper spray from the 100-yen shop here and bring it with you! It's fairly safe in this country but not safe enough! There are disgusting people out here too.
It was homey. The old man at the restaurant was kind and helpful.

Right in front of Koshigoe station. The staff was super helpful. I was short on cash, and he helped me to find an ATM. He even used his car to help me. The staff also helped me to locate some famous anime pilgrimage sites.

Hong KongThe stairs are very straight which might not be friendly to everyone.
It’s close to the train station and affordable. The gentleman there was very kind, offered me a ride to a convenience store late at night after I arrived. The room is spacious, clean and comfy.
