Very friendly and helpful host, he even helped us with dinner reservations. Being able to use the laundry machine was very handy. Breakfast was served in the host's café. No touch checkout (just closing the door, no keys). Very quiet environment.

The design of the property is lovely, it’s very traditional and is warm and minimalist. It’s located 5-10 minutes from the town where there are many nice places to eat and a short walk from the main attractions. The host is amazing and he owns a coffee shop and restaraunt 5 minutes away which serves lovely coffee & breakfast. Highly recommended.

If I had to pick on anything it would be the lighting in the room wasn’t great. A floor lamp would be great. That’s a tiny nitpick though, everything else was perfect.

The room was massive! Way bigger than we expected especially for Japan standards. Beautiful, modern space in a gorgeous and quiet street. Nice and private, yet super close to some great restaurants and bars, and easily walkable to Kenrokuen Gardens and Kanazawa Castle. The owner sat down with us and explained about Kanazawa to help us understand the city and some sightseeing opportunities too, so helpful! Honestly I would book this again in a second. Such a cool location and space. Oh, and a complete bargain!

In keeping with the decor, the two chairs were supports on the floor. We did find one other small low chair in cupboard. Our old knees suffered a little from getting up and down from the floor and from the bed, but the trade-off was the authentic Japanese experience

The only small qualm is the limited parking space in area. The other place that was recommended was very tight, presumably because of the building works. I got a really bad scratch and dent on my rented car. Just take note of this

A truly wonderful experience staying at this Gunjo no Tsuki. It was modern, extremely clean and tastefully done. The bath tub was operated by a touch of the button and it fills by itself. There was ample room to move around for a family of 4 and it can easily accommodate another 2 more. The owner was really helpful as well. He was just a call away since he stayed nearby and was prompt in giving us suggestions and directions! My family really loved this house and would come back again if we came back to Kanazawa!

Very clean, specious a s cosy stay. Tucked away between local houses and therefore very calm. Gives an opportunity to unfold, relax and warm up your meals for warm soul. Very comfortable sleeping set up. Wonderful bath-tube. Washing machine is a big plus on a long Japan traveling tour. Owner was very friendly and helpful! Walking distance to many local treats!
