Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanI'd say the location is the only problem. Luckily enough we were driving and they have plenty of parking spaces available. With lighting, it might be nice to have a smaller light or lamp other than the main ones to get around at night but not really a problem.
The room was slightly bigger than expected which was a nice surprise. Much nicer than most of the other hotels I've stayed in. Bathroom had plenty of space too and I could stand up with no problem in the shower. Everything was also very clean and the receptionist was kind and helpful.

PhilippinesThe wifi was a bit unstable, a problem if you have to do some work.
"It's a very unique style of accommodation. It's good enough for a single traveler. The location is also quite convenient, as it's only a few minutes away from Ena Train station. There is a supermarket and a couple of food options nearby."

ArgentinaLocation is not very good if you’re doing the Nakasendo trail. There’re trains to Ena but you need to transfer at Nakatsugawa. Also, there’s a parking lot right in the middle between the containers so you can hear cars arriving/leaving.
Cool concept of having a container of your own. Staff were very friendly and they give you a voucher for an instant meal (pasta or rice) from the fridge.

Hong KongA seat on the front porch would have been nice. Otherwise nothing to really complain about
The kids loved the gimmick of staying in a portacabin. It was well insulated and quiet. Room is obviously compact, but clean. Surprised to receive free beverages and frozen ready meal available for pick up at reception.

MalaysiaNothing we didn't like. Although we wish that it's a 20 foot container, instead of a 10.
The amenities are great. Loved the bed and the shower. And even though the space was tight, it has everything you need, including a microwave oven and a fridge. And they gave us vouchers in exchange for frozen spaghetti or rice packs! Also free Flow of coffee and tea.The staff are very polite and nice.

AustraliaNothing
Cute container rooms, bed was comfy and area was quiet. Plenty of supermarkets nearby, a reasonable walk from the railway station, about 20 minutes, really catering for road travellers. A light meal was supplied but no plates or cutlery in the room but overall, a pleasant experience.

Australia- the rooms are very small, and it shakes a little when walking around. - it’s literally a car park next to a busy road and other businesses with parking. The road noise was very noticeable in the enclosed room. - compare to the other tourist towns around, Ena is very industrial and it can be smelt at times. However, Ena is a budget alternative to the overpriced, dirty Nakatsugawa and its rude locals.
- 15mins walk from the JR station but it’s a motel with car spots right in front of the rooms. - short walk to restaurants and shops. - staff was friendly and made effort to resolve the issues guests may have. They don’t speak much English but certainly know how to communicate with modern technology. - fridge (with freezer) and microwave in the room

GermanyThe direction is wrong, it takes you few streets away. When we called the receptionist just hanged up the phone. Had to go and knock on people's door. The furniture (Chair )looked like it had much better days. Expensive for a night in an OK container.
The bed was OK and the shower although small was good.
