The buffet breakfast was OK, but not great. Many selections but OK quality. We couldn't eat in the restaurant for dinner without reserving 24 hours in advance, so we didn't try that at all in the 2 nights we were there. That was strange because the hotel restaurant was huge. However, we found an adorable, small, homey izakaya a 10 minute walk away, near the traffic light, and I would highly recommend that place for a friendly dinner and drinks.

The room was a very nice size, quite big. The hot tub on the balcony was great, but a little small for 2 people. The shower (between the bathroom and the spa) was fantastic. Beds were comfortable but a little hard. We enjoyed the welcome shoju. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The in-hotel convenience store was great and was well stocked.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and we noticed there was also great facilities for those travelling with dogs (though we were not). The room was large, and the hot spring outdoor bath was nice (though not really big enough for 2 people to enjoy together).

I was not expecting such a beautiful room for the price we paid and with such peace and privacy including our own hot spring bath. We would have happily stayed a week to explore the Kirishima area and use the hot spring facilities at the hotel if we had the time. The views from the hotel were just breath taking and its website photos do not do it justice. Staff very welcoming on arrival. Didn’t get the chance to use other facilities as only overnight stay but noted lots of little free treats such as noodles and icecream at different times of the day. Plenty of Free onsite parking.

Not quite sure if there were restaurants nearby but there was only one restaurant in the hotel. Didn't explore enough the surroundings.

The room was big though we didn't need the extra bed. Enjoyed the private bath, which was easily available at the time when we were there. The free ramen was good.

We had rooms on the side wing, facing a row of trees rather than the beautiful landscaped gardens and the valley.

Breakfast was good. Not spectacular.

The view of an active volcano from the window and from the hot spring bathtub on the balcony. Extraordinary. Location is also amazing. Easy to arrange a taxi to the national park area or use the infrequent bus service. National park in itself is a gem worthy of a visit, especially for volcano lovers and this is by far the best hotel to choose for this endeavour. All the facilities and amenities were in proper order. Great value.

Wonderful onsen hotel. The baths were very pretty, with a large public bath and smaller baths for private use. Rooms were large and well sound-proofed. We slept very well here. Located in the beautiful Kirishima mountains. Access is best with a car, but we managed to find a bus which brought us there just fine. We did not try the in-house restaurant, but instead dined at (good) restaurants nearby. There's also a convenience store nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We warmly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast, there was much to choose from, but all of what should have been warmed food was actually cold, including the bacon, salmon and Omelette's. Which is a reflection of my rating.

The staff were great, the common Onsen's nice and the private balcony layout was a feature of the room with it's own Onsen tub. The pool area looked great with the steam from the hot spring in the back drop.
