How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Amazing place in Hiroshima, we stayed two nights in two different rooms both were pretty big for Japan and very nice, pretty affordable. Only thing is there is no place for breakfast in the hotel but they are many places around. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Not enough hooks for towels in bathroom. Very minor issue.
Easy walk to Hiroshima station. Wonderful bath/shower. Spacious. And in-room washer was fabulous. It was too humid to use the terrace bath, but I would come back just for that ☺️

Our only window was frosted as there’s a building right next door. So the room was dark. But the rest of the facilities/staff more than made up for it.
The room was really large and the bathroom enormous (and beautiful). This was a little distance from the train station (about 800m) but Hiroshima is flat and friendly, so the walk to the station was a highlight of our stay.

Having a water station for filtered drinking water would be a great addition. Bottled mineral water was appreciated, but on hot days, being able to refill on H2O at will is ideal.
You get a small view on your way to your room! Beds were super comfy, along with the bathroom being amazing!

We had a city view room with a private balcony overlooking the city. The balcony even had a private tub for al fresco bathing! Staff was very helpful and the location was a short walk to the train station.

I used google translate a lot. And yes I appreciate it is Japan but I am sure with modern technology hotels can have a better way of communicating with English speakers if they want to make the experience a bit easier. This isn’t a “dislike” more a suggestion for improvement.
By Japanese standards the size of the accommodation was exceptionally spacious. Very practical layout with separate bathroom, separate toilet and powder room. Wonderful views of the river. 6 minutes walk from Hiroshima station and 25 minutes walk to Memorials. Stored our bags at the hotel while we went sightseeing.

nothing not to like about the place. The pillows were “ flat” and soft. Not much head support.
We took a room with a balcony and bathtub on the balcony. In the mornings and evenings, we will sit in the balcony to enjoy our coffee. There’s no view as the balcony has a high wall, but nice to have an outdoor space to chill. It was equipt with a washing machine, electric oven, fridge, electric hot plate and basic utensils. We only used the oven once but good to have those facilities. Bathroom was reasonable large and so was the room. We had a very comfortable stay for 4D3N. So close to the railway station, public transport and walking distance to places of interest (20 to 30 mins)
