Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech Republicsmelt oddly, room was a bit outdated with visibly used equipment....
was a good location and easy to find. There was not much to choose from and this looked very good on the picture. Personally, ... glory days are over, I would say. It wasn't exactly it looked like on the pics.

United KingdomWasn't sure about leaving luggage before check in and after check out since reception is unmanned during day time. But fortunately left the luggage behind reception pre- check in and there were all safely kept despite the entrance being open to everyone to enter.

United KingdomThere were 4 of us and only 3 glasses. The bedroom decor was a bit dated.
Great location. Staff helped us with parking. The shower and toilet were modern and the beds were comfortable. We appreciated the coffee bags in the morning. It was good value for money and very convent for staying in Sapporo for a couple of nights.

CanadaThe dryer could be more effective, had to run several cycles for clothes to dry. Must time when you need to throw out the towels and garbage when the staff is present.
Spacious room and not cramped, which is rare to find in Japan. They also had a traditional Japanese hot tub that you can use. Very sustainable, had to carry our used towels and garbage to reception.

AustraliaWhile the initial journey from the stations might require a short onward transfer, the reward upon arrival at this hotel is well worth the slight distance. Once settled, you'll discover a perfectly suited for a small group. The well-appointed rooms offer a delightful blend of practicality and comfort. Thoughtfully equipped with all essential amenities, including the added convenience of a kitchenette, they cater seamlessly to independent travelers. However, the true gem lies within the bathroom – a genuine sanctuary boasting spa facilities, promising moments of blissful relaxation after a day of exploration. Despite its slightly more secluded, the combination of comfortable, self-sufficient rooms and the indulgent spa bathroom elevates it beyond a mere lodging, making it an excellent choice for small groups seeking a tranquil and rejuvenating stay in Sapporo.

United StatesWhat could have been a bit better was the room service. Although they did note that there were no such services during your stay, it would've been nice to have.
The room was nice a big, which made moving around the room, packing, and other things a lot easier. The location of the hotel was great; it was about a 5 minute walk from the station as well as a variety of other shopping areas and entertainment areas.

JapanThe futons are used on a matted floor not tatami so the base is very hard. The bathroom is accessible via the toilet/vanity area and has a glass door so cannot use both at the same time, tricky when 4 people in the room.
Nice big room, clean facilities, good amenities. King bed was comfortable. Easy to find location, short walk to convenience stores and restaurants, Susukino station area and bus stop to Chitose Airport.
