They use some detergents with strong smell (Smelled like Green tea?). We had to keep the window opened and AC on all time to let it go.

Very close to everything we wanted and to public transportation Tea cattle in the room and free tea bags. Combination of western bad and tatami floor

There was an unpleasant smell in the room from the traditional Japanese carpet. You do get used to it after a while though.

Good location, big rooms, comfortable beds, washing machine/dryer.

The air conditioning was a bit loud. I had to turn it off during the night. I felt a bit of an earthy smell.

Great and quiet location. Nice staff. I loved the Tatamis in the room. Everything is very clean. Beds are comfortable. The illumination in the room is very cozy. Next to the Nishiki Market and not so far away from the Nijō Castle.

Very humid location and this is reflected by bad smell both on the floors and in the room despite the de-humidifier.

Excellent location at walking distance from the subway and main shopping streets, as well as picturesque Pontocho area. Very big room and bathroom and comfortable beds.

Only has one wash machine, have to wait long time washing clothes.

Close to subway station, some nice restaurants are close by. Room is nice, and I like the bath room, which separates the shower room and toilet.

All the experience was great. Perhaps you could share a more detalles information on how to get there. For example, which exit to take from the metro station.

Very clean and stylish. I loved the location right accross from the Kyoto Museum.

The speed and signal strength of the WiFi can be improved. It was in the range of 5 to 15 MBit/s with fluctuations between 1 to 2 bars in terms of signal strength.

Great quiet location just 4-5 minutes walking distance from the closest metro station. Many great cafes, convenience stores, and restaurants within walking distance too. The washroom facilities were great, with very good water pressure in the shower.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. I loved the atmosphere: the place was spotlessly clean and perfectly quiet, which allowed me to truly relax. The staff were extremely friendly and always available to meet my needs. Everything was accessible on site, making the stay very convenient, and the hotel is located in a calm neighborhood, which I really appreciated. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, as well as a metro station, which makes getting around the city very easy. In addition, many activities are within a 10-minute walk, perfect for exploring the area without any hassle. The room was truly amazing—spacious and comfortable, with a modern, well-equipped bathroom. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and worry-free stay.

This is a small boutique hotel and was the best place we stayed at in Japan - highly recommend booking here! The Standard Twin Room was huge by Japan standards, the tatami area with table + beanbags was great and gave us plenty of space to open two large suitcases. Bathroom was very modern and had a great layout with the shower, sink/mirror and toilet each located in a separate room. Amazing location on a very quiet street within easy walking distance to everything - 1 min to convenience store, 5 mins to subway station, 7 mins to Nishiki Market & a big shopping arcade (Sanjo Meiten-gai), 15 mins to the river & Pontocho Alley, 20 mins to Gion (geisha district). Staff were friendly and helpful, they organised luggage transfer to our next hotel and let us keep our backpacks behind the front desk for the day after we'd checked out. I'll definitely stay here again if I come back to Kyoto!

    Pillows where quiet flat.

The size of the room was huge, such great value for money. After 2 weeks in Japan squished in tiny rooms this was lovely. We had a twin room and you could actually walk down the middle of the beds.

What a fabulous little hotel this is! A hidden gem in Kyoto! So hidden we walked past it twice before we realised it was there! Incredibly quiet and the room was huge by Japan standards. Walking distance to public transport, heaps of restaurants and bars nearby. Washing machine in a laundry off the foyer was great, as were the free amenities. Spotlessly clean, lovely staff. Room was large with a tatami area for relaxing. As with most hotels in Japan the beds and pillows are harder than we are used to but not a problem. Bathroom was fabulous. Be aware this hotel does not offer breakfast but there are convenience stores close by. Definitely recommend this hotel.
