Mainly maintenance, it was great having free laundry services, but the two washers and dryers have seen better days. They have been overworked for sure! The towel holder in my bathroom was loose and needs to be tightened to prevent falling.

The breakfasts were outstanding, there was enough variety on the menu for any guest! You could modify your selections such as ordering eggs, salad and toast, verses the complete listed entry. The coffee was hot and very flavorful, the best ever!!! I like the idea of having a station set-up in the lobby that includes sodas, tea, ice cream, microwave etc., however, I'd be more discrete with the availability of alcoholic beverages. Although I don't drink, it's a great option for adult guests, but in my opinion the "booze" should be in a cupboard to prevent exposure to young guests, and the potential to explore!

The hotel is situated a fair bit away from the sightseeing spots so it's ideal if you rent a car. The hotel does provide free bicycles but it's still a fair bit far away to ride.

Has a lot of free services and facilities you can use (office rooms, gyms, sauna, etc). These bonus items are free of charge too. The room comes with free breakfast and a drink bar, and the hotel is situated near small restaurants

There are 2 buildings on the property. Check with the front desk that you are on the newer building where the hotel lobby is. The other building is old and looks run down on the outside. The hotel is relatively near the beach so the salt from the seawater in the air may be causing corrosion on the metal doors. You could still get a view of the ocean if you are on the higher floors and the rooms costs less I think. Still a good value with the free breakfast.

Yes, the free breakfast was very good. It was a good sized American breakfast with coffee. It was arranged very well on the plate, it had some greens included, and the breakfast area was good sized with tall ceilings. The room I stayed at had a great view of the ocean. There are many restaurants within walking distance that serve excellent Japanese and Okinawan food. There is a bus stop in front of the Family Mart store about a block from the hotel. I took a bus (one transfer) all the way to Naha airport. There is a big study/work area on the 2nd floor. Free alc. drinks/coffee & sodas & ice cream machine.

The building is a bit old, but in fairness, the room is very clean.

The staff were sincerely nice and accommodating. Lots of included amenities and the room size is surprisingly spacious. Definitely a great deal.

The bed was miserable. It was like sleeping on a rock. We had to buy a mattress topper to make it sleep-able for a long time.

the room was obviously quite old and out dated. some areas where accumulating mold on the walls and ceilings due to the humidity of the island. however everything else was very clean, save for the old carpets (those where pretty heavily stained.)

friendly staff conveniently located. the resteraunt attached to the hotel was fabulous and the waiters where very friendly and even spoke english. every few days rooms where cleaned and none of my things where ever touched or moved. next time I come to okinawa I will be staying at the royal hotel again for sure.

Hard beds and pillows. Our room was infested with fire ants resulting in large bites on us and our children. We ended up leaving early.

I would have appreciated a couple more extra pillows. The electric tea kettle was broken. The TV only has Japanese channels. Could have used an international news channel.

Very convenient location and quiet. The room was spacious and provided for all my needs. The staff even washed my dirty dishes. Appreciative of that level of service.
