I like the clean rooms and the location of this hotel. Very close to local train station, making it easy& convenient to go visit other parts of Tokyo. Rooms are very clean, and beds& sheets are comfortable. The host is super nice and friendly. He tried very best to make us feel like home, also gave us useful tips about touring in Tokyo. Would definitely come back to stay at Rosenheim when next time we come back to visit Tokyo!

Location is fantastic. Short talk to train station. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area. Only 1 train stop to main shinjuku station. The owner is super friendly and very helpful. Will stay again!

Clean and comfortable apartment a few minutes walk from a JR station and convenience shops. Easy access to Shinjuku and Shibuya. Really friendly, responsive and helpful owner made our stay especially enjoyable.

Provision of additional waste bins so as to be very clear which waste product goes where.

Location was a short walk to two different subway lines (and a longer walk directly to Shinjuku station). The staff are very helpful and pleasant to deal with (they took care of luggage forwarding for me, and it worked perfectly to go to Osaka). The size of the room and the in-room laundry were huge reasons for my booking there. Liked that it was off a main strip but on a quiet street.

I wouldn’t book the bottom floor because of the half basement feeling, had slight dampness.

Loved the location and staff. Loved the facility we had a small kitchen and laundry. Beds were comfortable. It was very clean. The staff helped us with dinner recommendations.

Perfect location with easy access to rail, restaurants, supermarkets and the best vegetarian haloumi kebabs you will ever taste! Second time staying here and it was again fabulous accommodation. Spotlessly clean, every amenity you could need, washing machine, kitchen, four double comfy beds, two large bedrooms, dining and lounge areas, separate bidet, bath, fully air conditioned - tastefully furnished and the most lovely staff. You can even book transport to airport or next accommodation for a reasonable fee - which we did as it was so much easier than lugging our luggage on the metro. Thank you Akira san for hosting another wonderful visit for us to Okubo / Tokyo 😊

The only minor issue I had was the bathroom, it was a little awkward to manoeuvre around for me (6'3 95kg). With the sink overlapping the shower and being between the toilet and shower. I felt I had to stand half in the shower to comfortably use the sink.

Good location, right next to the station 1 stop from Shinjuku station or a 20-30 minute walk into the centre of town. There are a whole bunch of food places nearby. Akira was very accommodating allowing us to check in early after we asked and responded quickly to any messages or questions we had. The washing machine and dryer just behind the lobby area was also very handy. Good size room for the price and comfortable beds.

The stairs but rosenheim have already told me in advance that there is no lift but what I love is the staff help to bring our luggages and already stored nicely in our room also when the check out time the staff also help me to bring the luggages down.

I love how very fast response and helpfull the staff. Even help me with information about the luggages transfer. Couldnt be more happier. Thanks Rosenheim

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Travel group: Family (2 adults, 2 kids) Stayed: June 24–29, 2025 We had a fantastic stay at Rosenheim Tokyo Shinjuku. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. The location is excellent — just a 1-minute walk to a convenience store and about 5 minutes to Okubo Station and 10 minutes to Shin Okubo Station. There are also many great local restaurants nearby. What really stood out was the kindness of the hotel owner, Mr. Egawa. He was incredibly warm and welcoming, treating us like friends. We lost a very important backpack during our trip, and with his help, we were able to recover it. We’re truly grateful for his support. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone, especially first-time visitors to Japan. We will definitely come back!
