Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The only thing that was really bothersome, unfortunately, was the sewage smell in our room. We couldn't get rid of it. It seemed stronger at night. I didn't notice it anywhere else in the hostel.
I liked how tidy the hostel was, the friendly welcome, and the clear instructions. There was enough space. The air conditioning worked well, and the washing machine cleaned the laundry efficiently.

Only one thing is the weak internet connection of WiFi. But it’s not a big problem for me, cause I have my own.
The people I met here were so kind and friendly, I felt warm like a home(Even though I just stayed here for 2 nights). The bed was comfortable and the shower rooms were clean. The location is really nice. Next time when I visit Nagoya, I would book here without hesitation.

The host is great, we had some very interesting conversations and I got great recommendations for things to do in Nagoya. The bunk beds provide privacy and the other guests were quiet and polite.

Very friendly staff, good facilities, excellent location right next to a subway entrance. Area around the bed mattresses and the floor of the showers could've done with a vacuum.

It wasn’t that clean, a lot of hairs and dust in the floor and the common area. There was also no soap in some toilets.

Roman is the best guy ! Legend. The theme of the hostel! and it was one of the most comfortable beds I had slept in Japan, even for a futon ! It was truly comfy for me. Best location in Nagoya, also.

The Wi-Fi was already slow even in the common area and practically useless when inside the rooms. Apart from that, no complaints really. The showers were also a bit cramped but not a deal breaker considering this is Japan.
Location was superb. Steps away from a train station, near convenience stores, right beside a park you can hang around in. The beds were spacious too and very comfortable. The common areas in the 1st and 3rd floor (this one had kitchen amenities) were both nice. And good-looking front desk people LOL

While the facility's reception and bar area smell of fragrant cypress, the room itself has a lingering smell. It's probably in the laundering of the towels.
A cute little guesthouse close to Yabacho Station in the lively Sakae district. It gives fabulous value for money. The mattresses are comfy.

Owner did not respond to any messages at all. Also I did not see owner during my entire stay.
Great location if you like being in the busy part of town. Right outside of subway station. Tons of restaurants and shopping nearby.

At 20m from a subway station and close to a lot of things worth seeing in Nagoya. The capsule is really wide and comfy and you have a lot of space to put your luggages in. The staff is nice and hardworking. Common space is cosy, not always really clean but never dirty. Free laundry if you're staying 3 days or more. I booked for 5 nights more after staying for 3 days there.

No elevator. Not much space to store large luggage bags, only small ones. Needs more air purifiers in capsule rooms since it is next to a cigarette shop and the smoke sometimes gets in.
The building and rooms felt modern. Very clean. Good price. Free washing machine and dryers.

The adress is not easy to find. There is no reception at all - you get all information in virtual way. The bathrooms could be cleaner...
Very good place- the female room was clean and quiet. Good public transport connection. I recommend this hostel :)

The shower wasn't very clean, there was hairs everywhere sometimes.

Definitely the proximity of hostels location to Yaba cho station. We are 7 in the family with 1 toddler. We were given a bigger room which is a very big plus. We super appreciate the owners. The guesthouse is clean. Though i appreciate if theres instruction on how to dispose garbage. We also love that they have dining/living room on the first floor. I wish i was able to meet and thank the owners in person. Ill definitely book this guesthouse again if ever ill be back in Nagoya.

Nothing. Everything was good and worth the price:))
The host was kind and smiling and took care of all the details in an excellent way. Everything was clean and pleasant, excellent showers and toilets. On the first floor the common space was inviting to sit, and the terrace outside is great. I really enjoyed my stay and if I return to the area I will definitely stay there again!

Generally this hotel is narrow and small. However it’s long and deep. Only one toilet and shower room on 3rd floor. Guests need to press water faucet constantly when they take a shower. There are so many tools for cook, but it doesn’t matter for people who eat out. public space is small. and Passing way is narrow. The light inside capsule isn’t bright enough to read or watch phone.
Super good location. The hotel is close to subway station and in the central. Place is clear and tidy.
