Beautiful room with private onsen. The location was right by a bus stop and we didn’t find it too difficult to move around Hakone with using public transportation. We had the dinner one night and it was great

Our first trip to Japan and the first time staying at a ryokan. All the staff was nice and friendly. We had breakfast and dinner included, which is a feast! We chose a room with private onsen which was nice.

The location is perfect for a relaxing couple of days. Breakfast and dinner were traditional Japanese style and absolutely delicious- I really recommend trying them both. The private onsen was amazing after a long day walking. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Points for the authentic japan-experience: Onsen, japanese breakfast etc. But the japanese beds (Thin madrasses on the floor) wasn't comfortable. Hakone area was fantastic!

Unique experience. Immerse yourself in the Japanese culture and traditions. We really enjoyed our stay here. We appreciated the fact that we had our own private onsen. Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. The staff at the reception/restaurant very polite and helpful. Easy access to the accommodation. We took a ride by bus from Odawara. Very scenic! Beautiful place! We strongly recommend this ryokan.

The staff were very helpful and enabled us to check-in earlier than planned. The private onsen baths in the rooms were very relaxing and we enjoyed the Japanese breakfast.

The private onsens were magnificent. The staff was incredibly helpful. Beautiful rooms. The location was quite peaceful, but close to many of the tourist locations.

The beds and futons were quite hard for us, as we’re used to much softer bedding. The “lounge” where we played card games with the kids lacked style and had no view — the windows were blocked. It has potential to be a much cozier and more inviting space.

Wonderful Place in Beautiful Nature! We stayed in a room for four with a private onsen and truly enjoyed the hot spring water. Both breakfast and dinner were included in our booking — the food was fresh, delicious and abundant, and the service was genuinely friendly.

Nothing! All was perfect.

Really lovely retreat in hakone, the area is quiet and less busy. It’s right beside the bus station which makes it very convenient to get around. I would say there are only a few walkable stores/restaurants but we enjoyed them all. Staff were really kind and hospitable, ensuring you had everything you needed.

The beds weren’t comfortable, I had a backache when I woke up but the onsen solved this problem in a minute. The service at the restaurant was so so, we came at the table and we did’t understand quite well what should we eat first and how to do it, the waitress explained it once but that was too fast and too much information at once. We only realised at the end of the meal that there were a paper than was explaining how to eat everything, the waitress should have say it to us. Also they forgot our drinks, we had to ask them twice.

Big and spacious room with private onsen, in the middle of nowhere so it’s very quiet, Japanese diner and breakfast with unlimited drinks included. There’s a bus stop next to the place, it’s a bit out of the Hakone loop but a bus will get you there from Gora in 15 minutes.

The place is pretty remote, which is nice, but plan on plenty of time getting there! Also, the private onsen is definitely room for one

The in-room open air onsen is bit cold and cannot adjusted by the customers, not convenient to call the staffs for temp adjustments every time.

The stairs coming down from the loft was a bit uncomfortable but was expected.

The onsen water was so hot, almost uncomfortably hot. We thought that the dinner was included in our stay but we had to pay additional when we checked in, so double check your booking if it is covered or not.

Enjoyed the private onsen and the loft room that we had. Although we had to pay an additional fee for dinner at the ryokan, it was a delicious spread with a great variety of food. Same with the breakfast.
