How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe loved the location , right next to Tokyo Disneyland & Tokyo Disneysea. Room was very clean and organized. We liked that they had their own convenience store (2) and that they were on the Limousine Taxi bus line. Also had a small Laundromat on property which was an extra plus.
We did have their Buffet Dinner the first night, it was fine nothing spectacular.

Charging people 5500 yen to use the outdoor pool seems crazy

Verified reviewPerfect location for Disney Parks
The room smelt really musty and felt a little outdated but it was clean. The shower could also do with updating (room 308) The area on floor 3 around the lifts had a really horrible smell each day.

Verified reviewGreat location for Disney and good shuttle service to Disney train and park. Most staff friendly and helpful. Rooms very comfortable and hotel is luxury. Shuttles leave regularly to the park and station.
Cafe staff were rude, overpriced food in hotel with little choice. Pools not free and was disappointingly small for such a grand hotel. The pool that is free is inside and a small area. Also seemed like you needed to keep paying for facilities even after check in. Overpriced food little choice and no shops close by except at another nearby hotel. Buffet breakfast staff took the food away from in front of us while we were still serving our breakfast. A bit rude. A shame as rest of staff at hotel were very nice.

Verified reviewIt was ok perhaps ordinary.
The property is dated in the rooms. Paying additional for pool use, gym and other facilities is unusual for the rating of the hotel.

Alittle ran down and outdated Did not like how you had to pay to use the outside pool. It should be part of the experience included in guests accommodation. The air conditioning could net be set to cold climate (16deg) where we are from.

Verified reviewLocation was great, right next to Disney and monorail.
Rooms were a bit dingy, carpets were old, rooms were dark and my room smelt of cigarette smoke. My in-laws got an upgraded room and it was older and worse than mine.

Room was very outdated, carpet was ripped, beds had pen scribbles all over it, furniture was very old. Didn’t like that you have to pay to use the outside pool, never been to a hotel where you have to pay to use a pool.

Verified reviewProximity to Disneyland and easiness to get around. Staff was mostly friendly and shuttle service is convenient. Cleaning staff was great.
Food is overpriced and disappointing - not a lot of options. Restaurant staff isn’t the nicest. Rooms are a little outdated.

Verified reviewIt’s close to Disney.
It’s huge; stuffy. Smells mouldy. You are unable to turn off ac. The hotel charges you huge amounts for basics, I have never stayed at a hotel that charges to use a pool. Would not recommend.

The rooms are not as great as they are advertised. For example, the tv is old, the rooms are as old and to be refreshed etc.

Verified reviewThis was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room reeked of a foul odor the entire time, the air conditioning was completely broken in the middle of summer, and the staff showed zero concern or effort to fix anything. The place felt dirty, uncomfortable, and downright miserable. I wouldn’t wish a stay here on anyone — avoid this hotel at all costs.

Verified reviewWonderful staff - everyone was unbelievably friendly, polite and accommodating. Fantastic location and amenities (indoor pool felt a little dated) and great quality food.
Our room was clean but felt a little dated. There were long queues for the restaurants and elevators especially in the morning. Booking the outside pool was very expensive and you had to book it early.

Verified reviewUpgraded to a Parkview room for free was a very nice addition! rooms were large, wet room showers and baths are so nice in Japan. I think this is my 4th time staying here so that probably says a lot....
The pool was like $50AUD to use. I've never experienced having to pay for a pool at a hotel before? took us by surprise. It's not an amazing pool so we skipped it.

Verified reviewEverything you could need is there, with options, plus it’s only a small monorail ride away from shops if you want some variety or self cater. Easy access to Disney reports - we didn’t realise how close it was until we arrived
All the little extras are an additional cost. While this allows for only paying for what you use, it does require planning to make the most of your trip. An ‘all inclusive’ day pass would be amazing.
