Both the kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast were excellent and the staff were attentive despite the language barrier. The private bath in our terrace is a wonderful option for those who feel uncomfortable in the public baths. We really wished we could have stayed another night to explore Lake Shikotsu.

Location, right on the banks of Lake Shikotsu, absolutely beautiful views Dinner was spectacular, no need to order ala carte items as the set dinner was way too much food, dishes (other than the sashimi) were different for all 3 nights that we dined there, quality cannot be matched Rooms were really comfortable, they have a pillow shop where you can try out and switch pillows according to your own preference Private onsen was amazing, being able to walk out and have a long soak in the cold air with absolute privacy was heavenly

Everything ; this property is probably top 5 of the hotels we have ever stayed in . The room / the food and the service was on another level. Thank you for hosting us / you were our first impression on Japan and we were glad you were. Location next to the lake was breathtaking . Onsens were just an added bonus.

The dining room in the Japanese restaurant is too open - large groups at nearby tables were so loud our romantic dinner for two was not great. We ended up rushing our meal.

    Lovely accomodation with fabulous staff.

I wish the hotel could serve at least one complimentary serving of sake in each dinner, after all we have paid a lot for the stay. I wish I could get more value for the money paid for the stay.

Although the location is remote, it was a great experience for us. It was indeed a great scenic drive along Lake Shikotsu. The room and staff services were excellent. Most staff can speak good English and we were able to communicate with each other well. The food choices were great. The chef has given my vegetarian friend a great dining of Japanese vegetarian meals. The hotel is located at scenic area abd guests can explore the area, all within walking distance.

Guests are required to surrender their shoes to the cloakroom upon entering the lobby and their car keys to the valet service at the drop-off point. This policy is in place to ensure a seamless and organized experience. You are given socks to wear within the hotel.

The lobby design brings a lot of relaxation upon entering. The buffer breakfast and dinner was luxurious

    Hard to fault anything

This is a quality property to visit on way back from ski fields. Stayed in room with private onsen which was great to use early mornings or night. The public onsens which also includes outdoor areas are great size and also great facility to use. Room is large, well thought out, and great facilities like a ryokan Food here, both the buffet and kaiseki were exceptional. We enjoyed two kaiseki evening meals with dishes changing each night and well worth the experience (the quality meals are probably half the accommodation cost )The property has nice central lobby area you can relax in. Venue is short walk to lake.

The room did not have yukata or resort wear in children size. The staff said they would give us but did not follow through. The night time staff at the BBQ seemed tired and not very friendly to children.

Dinner was delicious with high quality food and service. Breakfast buffet had a big variety to choose from. The onsen had many baths and the outdoor bath was beautiful and relaxing. It was a treat to choose desserts from the patisserie and our room had pudding in the fridge. The marsh mellow BBQ at night was fun for the kids.

Guest service is very bad. After leaving the hotel, my daughter's doll fell in the room. (Two hand-sized dolls) I sent message to the hotel, but there was no reply for several days. I didn't get a reply until I ask the my next new hotel (OMO7) staff to help me make a phone call mizunouta hotel. During this period, the hotel did not take the initiative to contact me. After several days of contact, it can be imagined that the items have been lost and cannot be recovered. The hotel proactively responded to messages before check-in. After leaving, the hotel simply ignored the messages and did not respond for several days. I was deeply disappointed. This is not the service that a high-end hotel should have. This kind of service is the worst service I have experienced in my 10 trips to Japan. I will not stay here again. Because of this experience, I will never choose any hotel operated by this group again.

There are various choices of meal quality, but unfortunately there is only a small amount of bread, and only the toast is up to the hotel standard, and other breads such as croissants are at the average bakery standard. 在 Google 翻譯中開啟 •

    Nothing.

Loved everything here. The dinner and breakfast is sublime. The quality of the food served at the buffet dinner and breakfast is good, and there is a wide variety and options available. They turn their desserts into artwork and that pleasing both visually and gastronomically. The onsen experience was good especially the outdoor ones. In the resort, they give you white socks to walk around, and that is the testament on the cleanliness level as the socks are still white after a night's stay there. We enjoyed having drinks at the bar near the hearth at the lounge, and just chilled to the talented harpist playing her tunes. Wished we could have stayed another night, but there aren't many activities around the area during winter.
