SingaporeThere's quite a lot of facilities that the hotel provides. But the staff weren't able to help us (non Japanese speaking people) use them. When I asked about golf they looked for a pamphlet, couldn't find it and then just directed me to the website - which was badly designed. On a similar note, we wanted to use the hot air balloon - but you get to know if it's flying only 30 minutes before (which means waking up at 530am) - so we didn't use that either...
Location was good within walking distance to a ropeway, a nice retail art and crafts area and 36 holes of golf. It was also around 5 mins drive from the cheese factory. And a few other restaurants within 10 mins drive (better to book in advance though). The room was spacious, there was a nice onsen (with a convoluted route to get there) and a nice outdoor sitting area. Parking was plentiful. And there was a souvenir shop with snacks and stuff you could buy....

AustraliaIt was between the peak tourist seasons and many facilities were unavailable. There was no coffee shop, only the large dining room, and you could only buy a glass of wine with dinner. We bought breakfast in town, and went to a different hotel to have a glass of wine in their nice non- smoking bar with a view.
The room was large and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.

We stay 6 nights, the hotel was a bit old fashion style with tranditional japanese style. Even the hotel a bit old fashion but the cleanliness is very good. Staff are nice, just some staff maybe have not know how to respon guest properly. I understand Japanese had their own tranditional way, that was nice but sometime some reaction a bit rude to guest. Such as raise up hand and say "wait", it is not a big deal but if they can learn how to reapon guest more nicely especially for people who are not Japanese will increasing your service level.

This hotel is truly grand hotel and it’s like a kind of 90 century hotel that reminds me when I was teen. My daughter enjoyed FM radio installed bed side so much . There is a way connect to Ningle’s terrace so I went there at night and morning. In autumn it’s so beautiful.Please visit there trail to the forest beside Ningle ‘s terrace it so beautiful ,not too far also wheel chair accessible. Buffet dinner and breakfast was ok,American and Japanese , Chinese style food were provided in decent variety. There were Jacuzzi in onsen that I was impressed. This hotel was super clean even it’s old , everything was in good condition. Service was great.
