Great location opposite the beach with a convenience store & supermarket nearby. The bus from the railway station stopped very close to the hotel. Shared kitchen facilities were useful to prepare your own food if wanted. The hotel feels old, but it has character. Being able to fit a family of 4 into 1 room made it good value for money. I would definitely stay here again.

You could get locked into the laundry room if you don't have your room key with you!

Patina of long-gone era. Hotel is quit run-down, but with some curious charm.

Onsen has great water, but would benefit from some upgrade. Still, it was nice in Onsen and we visited twice in two days

There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. It’s very easy to get to all the tourist sites. The room is spacious and clean. The public hot spring is pretty and comfortable. There is a collection of shampoo to choose from. The staffs are very friendly!

The hotel has a fantastic lounge area and kitchen facility - it is across from the beach and we were able to get around the area easiliy - the parking was also helpful

Improved the onsen area both the hotel onsen and the individual room onsen - the areas needed some plants or something.

The hotel is located right opposite the beach, great place to be while having your foot Onsen. The Onsen in the hotel is a great relief after a long drive. A bit disappointed that they did not open up the outdoor Onsen, but the indoor Onsen was great. There weren't many people in the Onsen the day I was there, so it was quiet and nice. The room was comfortable and the bed was comfortable.

    Nothing.

It's in front of Shirarahama Beach. And It has it's own room foot bath that you can access anytime.

The limited number of onsen it has only two for short hours. It must be great if we can access onsen on daytime like from 11am to 6pm I guess.

My room is Japanese style with private semi-open air onsen. The room is very spacious which have space to sit and enjoy a cup of tea for relaxing. With the price which we paid that, is more than valuable. Also this hotel is located in city center and you can easily find restaurants nearby and walk to the beach. Bus stop is nearby too. Very convenient for travelers. Staff could write in prefect English for my inquiry by email before my stay.

Nothing but it's not for someone who like to stay at a modern hotel. It's a hotel with some history.

Interesting experience staying at a Taisho-era hotel. We booked the room with the private onsen and didn't regret it as our room is spacious and well-maintained. The outdoor bath is a nice touch and the location is conveniently located next to Shirarahama beach. And there are plenty of restaurants nearby too.

The second floor onwards and the public onsen area looks a little dated and would definitely help if the management does a renovation to renew the interior in these areas. Would love to see this hotel continue on

    Good Location

We paid extra money for the Private open-air bath for 2 nights. However the spring hot water pump was not working on the last day. The staff didn't inform us until we found out without hot water and asked them...Very disappointed as we paid extra for the private open-air bath but cannot use it on the last day.
