A Perfect Stay at SunnyDay Hostel! We had such a wonderful experience staying at SunnyDay Hostel. The host was truly warm-hearted, kind, helpful, and incredibly friendly—making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the breakfast prepared each morning was simply excellent—fresh, delicious, and made with genuine care. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness—we will definitely come back!

Great location within walking distance to the port for the art islands and the train station, and close to the cute local urban train to Ritsurin gardens, plus every close to lots of restaurants and shops and the owner gives great recommendations! Rooms are clean, colourful and characterful with great art on the walls. Breakfast is also delicious and can also be taken to go if you’re running for a boat or bus like me. The host is super friendly and welcoming and I can’t recommend this place enough! Takamatsu is a great small city with great sights in itself as well as a jumping off point for the art islands and you can’t ask for a better place to base yourself from.

The shower pressure was a bit weak.

The owner is really friendly and warm! He made sure we were comfortable and even shared some fruit sandos with us. The room we stayed was spacious and had everything we needed.

An amazing, welcoming host. The hostel has a really nice local feel, such as the city map in the lobby suggesting local restaurants, shops and bars. The Japanese breakfast was delicious!

My child likes it very much. Everyone can have own independent Space. When we come the guest house, I visit other rooms. I think every room's details are great. And the breakfast is great.

The hostel is located above a juice bar and the host was super friendly and brought us a basket with stunning breakfast to our room. We also got a great dinner recommendation and had everything we needed. The rooms are modern and furnished in happy colors, and we very much enjoyed our stay!

Good location to access railway station, long distance bus, ferry and shopping mall by walking distance. Go San is absolute a gentleman. He is very helpful, reliable and sincere owner. Don't miss his delicious breakfast.

Nice homestay managed by a person who could speak very well in English. Great experience for a special room setup and special Japanese breakfast which is really delicious. Quiet place with easy access to nearby walking covered shopping, restaurant street. Will certainly be visiting this place again in my near future and special thanks to the host who had giving us lots of guidance on the local attraction!

The host was really friendly and recommended us to many great places/restaurants. We arrived early for check in and he allowed us to keep our baggage so we can head out for our trip. We came back late for check in but he waited for us patiently and even moved our baggage to our rooms before we arrived so we had everything settled as soon as we checked in Very comfortable stay, will be back if I visit Takamatsu again! Location was just a few mins walk from public transportation and other attractions.

The hostel is situated in a good location, near to the port and the shopping arcades area. The room is cozy with soothing decoration and atmosphere. Besides, the owner is really nice and recommended some of the great restaurants nearby.

The room is not very dark.

Amazing host! He helped us with all our questions, even for our next destination! He prepared a lovely breakfast basket with great (vegetarian) sandwich. The guesthouse is close to many restaurants (but good to make a reservation for some) and the harbour if you want to go to one of the islands. Clean room and although tiny, very nicely and smartly furnished.
