How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewDecent room and space with daily cleaning. Air purifier in room was great. Hot water for showering and bathing was great. Air conditioner was strong. Eco cleaning service with rewards (free drink from vending machine) was an awesome policy!!!!!
Pillow was too soft with no option to change.

Verified reviewThe location is truly the best-selling point as it is less than 5 mins walk to Hakata Stn where the subway/JR/Shinkansen is. Hakata Bus Terminal is also just nearby (less than 10 mins walk). Staffs are friendly and helpful. There are two Family Mart and a Lawsons convenience store nearby and plenty of food options and malls within walking distance.
The room is a little small (like most Japanese hotel rooms), and it's not easy to open your 28-inch luggage fully in the room ( but it's clean!). It would also be great if the hotel allowed guests to check in slightly earlier if rooms were already available. I paid extra to check in an hour earlier, as I really needed that room to freshen up and rest as i had taken a red-eye flight into Fukuoka. Would be great if some flexibility is allowed on check-in policy

Verified reviewThe hotel is a good place to stay one or two nights when we just arrive at Fukuoka or about to leave since it's next to the Hakata Station. Besides, the room is clean and the bed is comfortable.
The room might be a bit small if we have big luggages. The stuffs may not be able to totally open.

Mmm, I think some facility requires better maintenance. I changed rooms because the flush handle was suddenly out of work. The front desk soon helped me change the room, which was really nice. However, in the second room, the bath plug somehow cannot stop the water (I was about to take a bath at that time)

Verified reviewThe A/C was very low which I loved as the outside temp was getting very warm. Also it was the best smelling hotel I have stayed at in China, South Korean and Japan. Breakfast was good- traditional Japanese and western stylish. Staff were a friendly welcome.

Verified reviewPosition is very good near Hakata Station. There are many restaurants nearby and also all kind of shops like supermarkets, souvenirs, electronics and so on. There are also 2 conbini nearby and they are open 24h. The room is small (like many Japanese hotel rooms) but nice. You also get keycards for the rooms and the elevator is blocked unless you use your keycard (good for security).

Verified reviewI really enjoyed my stay here. Location is excellent. Very close to Hakata Station was ideal. Can easily get to the airport, both tours I took started within 100m of the hotel, plenty of restaurant options. When leaving, I took the ferry to Busan, and it took 15 minutes to get there at ¥1,700. The room was very clean. On the smaller side, but a little bit bigger than my Tokyo room, but it does the job if you’re going to be out all day and need it as a place to relax. I was lucky to stay on the 10th floor which also had a coin operated washer and separate dryer. The best part of the stay was definitely the staff though. They go out of their way to help. I made sure to get the names of the 3 staff members that helped me the most, Ms. Kawabata, Mr. Yokogawa and Ms. Matsumura. They gave me their opinion on the best things to see and do, gave me directions, options on how to get to places, etc. stuff that normal hotel staff do, but their attitudes were just fantastic and they just wanted you to have the best. It’s the people that make travel great, and these guys made my day everyday. Thanks all.

one elevator wasn't working when we were there, but the service staff helped as much as possible to help us and other guests with the 1 working elevator.
