We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The whole hotel has little maneuvering space in and outside of the room, corridor, hotel lobby.
Relatively close to main train stations, convenient stores and main sights in Ueno.

Elevator has no AC. Bathroom towel is thin.
Out of 10 plus hotels I have stayed this one got the fastest wifi internet speed. It reached around 630 Mbps consistently everyday. No random drops. No daily router restart. Room is bigger than other hotels in the area with the same budget. There are spaces to have suitcase opened without blocking the way. It is a bit older hotel. However they have maintained it well and kept it updated. Bathroom design has some modern touch. It is central air conditioned. So the temperature sometimes was not consistent with the setting. Up side is which means it is not controlled by key card either. So no more stuffy room when coming back.

The bathroom curtain has a smell
The staff are helpful and polite. They helped me to carry the luggages outside when we left the hotel. The location of the hotel is very good. It is very close to Ueno park

We requested the hotel staff to call us a taxi, but they said no & to talk down to road to the taxi stand. was not very impressed with this as we were loaded with luggage & bound for the airport.
Easy location, quiet & away from noise but still very central location for trains & eatings.

Water pressure is a little low in the shower. A tall person would hit the toilet ceiling. I'm 165cm so it was ok.
Staff is helpful and always available. I checked out early and had to arrange for my luggage to be shipped. Staff was efficient and processed everything quickly. Location was also good, close to ueno station, in a street that was less busy.

A top notch spot for any visit to Tokyo. The location is just a minute or so walking to Ueno station, so it is extremely convenient, and the Keisei skyliner to Narita airport is just a few minutes away as well. The staff are very friendly, and the room itself was perfect. I would certainly stay again next time I am in Japan.

Property felt a little out dated, but was clean and the room was a decent size for Japan.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They kindly stored our bags for us before we checked in and after we checked out. Super convenient location right next to Ueno Station. Made getting to Narita Airport a breeze! Also a 5 minute walk from Ueno Park and tons of restaurants and shopping in the area

It can be confusing to know which exit to use to exit the station.
Very close to the Ueno JR station. Practical to have a restaurant downstairs. Friendly team and we were able to leave our luggage while waiting for our train in the afternoon.

We booked economy twin bed but we got adjoining two small bed into one big bed with one blanket. It's not as shown in the room photo. There were only two washing machines and always being used by the other guest.
Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Location is decent. Room is comfy and mostly clean. The room size is okay for two women. I can open 25 inches luggage in the room but block the walkway.

The location is quite far from the train. We were there during summer to walk to the keisei line with luggage, causing us sweat all over. Apart from that, everything is good.
Very friendly staff and helpful. The size of the room is of good space compared to other hotels in the same area, the check-in and check out time is also better than others. We stayed during construction, but nothing bothered us at all as we didn't stay during the day. Even when we were out late, the noise was not that loud to disturb us.

I book this one mainly because the room size was stated at 15sm, however, it feel the same compare with the room of a nearby hotel that I stayed before what was stated at 11sm. The price of the two are about the same, but the other one is even closer to the train station. This one also had the added problem of some stairs.

Can't think of a thing.
The hotel is relatively close to the train station. The staff was excellent and helped in any way we asked. This included holding luggage early before check-in and for a few hours after. Rooms were nice but you could tell it's a little bit of an older building.
