Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaLocation - not recommended for travellers that don’t speak Japanese. There is also no medical assistance on the mountain.
The ski in ski out was great however unfortunately the lower slopes on this mountain are jam packed with beginners so it’s very dangerous. The staff were so helpful from carrying our bags through the snow to helping us translate when we needed medical assistance. It’s nice having a restaurant on site however you need to pre-book. HUGE thank you to Lucile at reception who was amazing, such an asset to the hotel!

NetherlandsThe breakfast could have been a bit more extensive with asian & western options, and fresh prepared egg option. The a la carte dinner was also not great. While the teppanayki dinner was amazing!
The staff were really really helpful with suggesting activities, helping with train booking, helping to book massages. They were the highlight for me, all very kind, patient and helpful!

SingaporeThe buffet breakfast was quite monotonous. We had the same food everyday for 8 mornings. Similarly the dinner menu was limited (not suitable for people with dietary restrictions) and did not change during my stay. It would have been helpful if the hotel had informed me prior to my arrival that it is located on the slope in the ski park and is only accessible by vehicles fitted with snow tracks. Our driver had difficulty locating the hotel, which caused some inconvenience.
The room was spacious and clean. The chair lift was located within a short walking distance. Free lockers for ski equipment storage. Complimentary shuttle service to and from Iiyama Station (I did not use), as well as the one-time pick up and drop off service at Ryuoo Ski Park Information Centre.

AustraliaThe ski park was a bit small for us but the T hotel made our stay lovely. The food could have been better.

PhilippinesThe dinner menu. Not much variety and a bit expensive for what was served. I ordered the lobster linguine and was given a plate of linguine with sauce, very little meat and an empty lobster shell. Was disappointed with that especially for the price. It tasted good but virtually no meat was a let down.
Friendly helpful staff, from the front desk to the wait staff and the shuttle crew everyone was great. The location was the best snowboarding right to the entrance of the hotel. The room was comfortable good facilities throughout. Breakfast was also great.

AustraliaMaybe it's because I booked through Booking.com instead of direct (it was just easier on this occasion) my rooms floor had coffee stains near the fridge. Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions as the rest of the room was fine. I was able to watch Netflix on the rooms tv whilst resting and not snowboarding. The hotels wifi can be very touch and go and there are instructions in the room on how it can be fixed if its slow (it was permanently slow even after I followed these instructions). I just accepted this fact. This hotel is a lot newer and the facilities are more modern than other hotels in the ski field area (I visited a few others to compare their standards and T Hotel is by far superior in terms of decor). For Ryuoo in general (not the hotel) there is almost nothing to eat outside of your designated hotel during the night. The nearby Italian restaurant was always closed. Youy may need to raid the vending machines and gift shops in the nearby hotels and chalets to piece together a meal! I also had permanent weak cell reception in Ryuoo.
T Hotel Ryuoo is in a prime location, you can literally walk out the front door and be on the ski field in 2-3 minutes. There are two restaurants on site (I only ate in the main restaurant), a small gift shop with ammenities, washing machine and dryer in the basement. I had breakfast each morning which was a buffet and it was fine. The front desk staff assisted me in rescheduling an appointment I had upcoming with a physiotherapist over the phone. I appreciated greatly the hotel shuttle bus service from Ryuoo to Nozawa Onsen which was complimentary.

AustraliaLimited meal menu as we stayed for 8 nights we tried everything.
Location was excellent, however we were unaware that you needed hotel transport from the resort car park to hotel door. It would be best to arrange the free transfers to and from the station if arriving by train.

AustraliaThe kids entertainment room was not as good as advertised (a lot of games not working). Beds are hard also - not my personal preference.
Location was exceptional - ski in and out - and the staff were so helpful. The ski facilities with lockers etc was awesome. We also had a room with a spa on the deck and that was incredible.

United StatesRestaurant food/service. You only had a choice of 2 meals for dinner which had to be pre booked and were VERY expensive. Shabu Shabu 11,000. Yen $73.00 U.S.or a 4 or 5 course French dinner also expensive and not that great. There are few if any other options as there’s no walkable village and the hamburger place closes at 5:00 pm. We opted to take free shuttle to yudanaka station and or taxi great restaurant GEON at the station.
The size of the rooms, location on hill, pleasant staff.
