Excellent location, close to the train station. Staff were lovey. Very nice ammenities

rooms were super big , clean & loved the beautiful onsen. Great location for everything , free coffee & evening drink were a nice touch:)

The hotel is very clean.

The onsen is quite small for the amount of people in the hotel. The double bed is supper small, as are the rooms. The staff is not very helpful. There is no parking. you need to use public parking next to the hotel.

Quiet location, although close to the train station. Good breakfast - Western and Japanese style are available at a breakfast buffet and you can mix as you like.

Only onsen we visited ( & visited 4 in different parts of Japan) that required tattoos to be covered ( & needed to pay for stickers)

The location of the hotel is great if you need to be by the train station. Otherwise it is a walk to everything else. The breakfast was amazing and much better than we expected.

The room we got was located right next to the onsen on the 2nd floor and was not the best. I think I paid way too much (I think one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel) to be so close to all the foot traffic that went back and forth to and from onsen. Onsen was so busy that we simply were not able to use it. Not sure if it is open to public? Apparently there were all kinds of creams and lotions available for guests at the reception, but were never offered or told that we can ask for anything. It was also very humid in the rooms as well and might be cause of the onsen being right next door.

Near the bus/train station so perfect for to go to Kamikochi! Breakfast was super good too! Onsed was super nice, perfect after a day out in kamikochi

We are very grateful for the responsive and helpful hotel customer service who replied speedily and even asked us to take care due to our flight and train delays. Excellent location — only 5 mins walk to train station. Clean and modern rooms. The washing machine and mini kitchen inside the room are very useful and convenient. The tv inside the room shows real-time usage situations of the onsen and washing machines in the common area.

The room is a bit small and it may be difficult to open 2 big suitcases simultaneously

The Onsen was great! The Milky water was so relaxing I didn’t want to get out. Loved that they had breakfast, afternoon drink and a light dinner. Everything was delicious! The hotel was clean, spacious and in a great location, very close to the station. The staff were very helpful with Yamato and everything else. Would totally stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing breakfast buffet. We loved Matsumoto and this hotel was a wonderful place to stay during our visit.

Close to the train station and the castle. We only stayed one night, but it was a good one.

The biggest and most comprehensive breakfast we’ve seen so far in Japanese hotels. It literally had everything catered to both Japanese and Western tastes.

Excellent hôtel with very comfortable beds. Rooms are very good size and super clean. The onsen was hot and nice and after a good visit of the city, it’s very relaxing to soend the night there.
