Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesRoom cleaning is every 3 days, but I wasn't told which days and didn't make the effort to find out. Guests need to be out of their rooms between 11am and 3pm on those days to allow cleaning to take place. Instructions said the front door to the hotel is closed between midnight and 6am with no information on hotel access between those hours. Again, I didn't make the effort to find out. Controls in the room mostly only in Japanese. I used Google Lens and tried out the controls to figure out what they did. Clearer information on the above and control labels in English would be helpful.
Very good location next to subway and a 5 minute walk to Tanukikoji indoor shopping arcade. A 10 to 15 minute walk to Odori Park, which is a great place to hang out in the evening to listen to street musicians and take in the atmosphere. Room and ensuite bathroom were clean. Comfortable bed. I'm traveling light, so everything stays in my bags apart from a couple of items that I put on hangers. I didn't check out storage in the room. Bathroom door didn't close, but that wasn't an issue for me.

United StatesI had a little bit of confusion on how to switch on the light in the bathroom. Off seemed to be on for the light switch.
Great location in Susikino next to the subway. Five minute walk to Tanukikoji covered retail and restaurant arcade. Convenience store across the street with a couple of benches outside to eat and drink while watching the world go by. This was my second stay in two weeks. I lucked out with a larger room on the top floor with a view. Bed was comfortable. You will need Google Lens to figure out the room controls since they are only in Korean. Storage only available on hangers.

CanadaWi-fi was extremely weak (at times didn't work at all). It was very hot in Sapporo, and the air conditioning barely worked. When I asked the front staff if the room could be made cooler, they said no, and offered me a fan. While better than nothing, it shouldn't be necessary to ask for a fan in a hotel that advertises that it is air conditioned. The hotel is old, dated, and the carpet is in poor condition (stained).
Friendly staff.

PhilippinesIf you want a 5 star hotel experience and you will book 3 star hotel of course you will have complaints. This hotel is just literally 10 steps away from the metro station, few minutes walk to tanukikoji, seafood market, odori and susukino. Comfortable bed, toilet amenities are there and refillable. They take out garbage and fix your room without a fee(on the 3rd day). Elevator is working, clean, quiet and decent. No receptionist from 12 midnight to 6Am but it’s ok. You’ll be sleeping on those times. Good value for money. Convenient drop off from new chitose airport via bus and vice versa.

PanamaMaybe some fixing in the bathroom tiles, and a bit difficult to know how to use the airconditioner, adding some instructions to show how to use it would be good. They said it had free wifi but or it doesnt appear, or it doesnt work at all
