We found the futon bedding a little hard - softer mattresses and pillows would be great.

So much to like - location in heart of Bikan quarter, modern stylish Japanese themed accommodation. Sofa seating and beautiful enclosed garden. Fresh fruit and bread provided each day. Lovely bathroom. Next to fabulous ceramics gallery with 5% discount on purchases. Very helpful hosts who assisted with luggage transfer and restaurant bookings and arranged a cot for the baby.

The tatami beds were quite thin so sleeping is on the hard side…

This is an absolute work of art type of house. Every single detailed was carefully designed and curated and the result is a stunning house located right in the middle of Kurashiki. The bathroom is a highlight with a great shower and bath after day’s walk exploring the lovely surroundings.

Beautiful house, really tastefully designed and beautifully renovated. You can tell a lot of care was put into every single detail. The location was perfect, we had to figure out car parking separately but that’s to be expected in a historic centre. The fruits and bread in the morning was a lovely touch. Would definitely stay again !

The bedding was extremely hard. We all had a stiff neck.

The hosts were very helpful in booking us dinner reservations and other things during and before our stay. The location of the house is perfect! Right near everything. Great shower.

Absolutely stunning property – even more so than the images we had viewed when booking. Superb design and renovation of this property with high end quality to all fixtures and fittings. Everything has been well thought out with all the facilities you could possibly need to hand. Such attention to detail. An array of breakfast/snack items were provided, including quality tea and coffee products, which were replenished each day. Situated in one of the more residential streets yet just a couple of minutes walk from the visitor sites, made this the perfect place to stay.

It will be so much nicer if there is a better check in process. They should let people into the house first so that we can finish the process at ease. Due to heavy luggage, we had to drag them into the store first and then drag them out to the room next door. My 80 years old mom had to wait for the check in progress standing at the store.

perfect location, right in the center of the beautiful old street area. The house is well-decorated full of top quality amenities, utensils, and furniture for guests to experience.

Very lovely house a minutes walk from the Bikan Historical Quarter. Would solidly recommend for couples. Tried it because I was looking for inspiration for my own living space at home and wasn't disappointed. If you want to fill the bath, follow the instructions they give you but hold the water volume button up until it says 99L and it will fill properly. Has combo washing machine/dryer if you want to clean your clothes. Check in is through the shop next door with the glass walls. Go in and they will give you a card with the pin code for the door.

The property is in an impeccable condition. It has all you need to enjoy restful days during your stay. A good breakfast is provided. And the pyjamas were very comfortable!! The location is great to explore Kurashiki. 😀
