Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanWe loved everything about this hostel! Staff were kind and friendly, everything is super clean, the bed was very comfy and private. They provide you a bath and face towels for free and more free amenities. There is no kitchen to cook but they have small fridges, kettle and microwave as well as water server (hot and cold) for drinking water was very good. They were happy to lend you plates and bowls etc if you need for your meals. We are going back to stay here for the end of our stay again!

Taiwan-It was a huge room with about 100 dorm beds in 4 or 5 rows, which means you can hear everyone going to sleep and getting up at all different times; also I was woken up by someone else's alarm clock going off in the distance... -The lamp in the dorm bed was a bit dim (not for reading)
-Very near the city center and all transportation -Clean bed and facilities and nice common area -The showers were in a different room entirely so you wouldn't hear water running or hair dryers even if someone took a shower late at night -Helpful staff

Awesome Guest House! Probably the best I went to. The staff was really helpful, even with weird demands like ours! The hostel is really clean, very well equiped and especially well situated in the city. If you need a stay in Naha, this should be it! Do not pass on it!

IsraelThe dorms area is pretty packed, but it's also ok, you have good privacy, and for the price it's definitely worth it. The overall facilities of the hostel were pretty good, the staff was nice, and the location is very convenient. It's a nice budget option in Naha, and a great option.

MexicoI liked that everything was accessible. Laundry and lockers, shower and toilets, lounge and dorm, all on the same floor. Good breakfast for ¥500 with a discount for guests, a password to access the dorm that changes every day, and it made me feel safe. Comfortable beds, pillows, and blankets. Great location very close to the prefectural office monorail station.

Czech RepublicI was refused breakfast because I have celiac disease and I just asked for a little bit more yoghurt or salad instead of the bread. The answer was no. When I asked for just no bread, it wasnt possible either. There was zero effort to meet my dietary needs even if it didnt require any special adjustment, just simply not putting the slice of bread on my plate. Made me feel like a second class guest. So beware if you have any allergies, nobody will care.
Clean, spacious rooms, well organized. I felt there generally very comfortable. Great location too.

BrazilBed light is not strong enough inside the bunk bed, but not a real problem
The first hostel I stay in Japan with an ocidental mattress and not a futon, so really comfortable bed. The breakfast is good and for a decent price. The room is large with many bunk beds but well organized. Has laundry and showroom/bathroom has a good space. Big locker to keep your carry on luggage. Close to monorail station and many bus stops

This was truly exceptional accommodation. Every corner was an eye-catcher. A really great layout and very well organised. Great care was taken to ensure that the sleeping cabins were quiet. What's more, the price was unbeatable and the service top-notch. I would come back again.

CanadaThe towels to rent are incredibly thin, and although the mattresses are good, the pillows aren't, and the beds make a lot of noise.
Way better than my first visit there months ago. This time around, it was much cleaner, despite there being more people. The lockers are nice size, and the laundry machines work well, there's enough sinks and showers, and the beds are firm (which I prefer). The location is decent, and the price is the best bang for the buck. People aren't really sociable there, however I bought some special kitkats and started handing them out to some guests and I used that as a way to socialize.

GermanyThe beds were a bit uncomfortable :(
It's super conveniently located and only 5 mins to public transportation. The cafe inside is very affordable and invites to connect with others. Facilities were clean and spacious. The beds were also quite large and I'm usually very claustrophobic!!
