Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesEverything is perfect!
We felt very fortunate to have chosen Prince Tower Hotel when we first arrived in Tokyo. We stayed for five nights, and all of the staff were extremely friendly and genuinely welcoming. In particular, Ms. Moe Hiyama at the front desk was wonderful—she thoughtfully prepared a gift for my child and helped us with the check-in process in a professional, efficient, and very warm manner. The housekeeping staff were also very attentive, cleaning our room with great care every day and providing us with plenty of drinks to make sure we stayed hydrated in the hot weather. For our next trip to Tokyo, this will definitely be our first stop again!

United KingdomIt is a bit of a walk from the subway station to the hotel and some of it is through a beautiful park but as we visited during a really really hot period in July, it was pretty exhausting just leaving the hotel and getting back. We stocked up on ice water from the hotel Lawson every day before setting out! I think there is also a rooftop bar but it was being renovated when we were there so I didn’t get to see it. I also couldn’t figure out how to get out into the garden of our hotel room - maybe it is not possible? All doors seemed locked. Would have been nice to make more of the view!
Wow! The view from our garden room facing Tokyo Tower was incredible! The room was very spacious, with a room with 2 large western style beds, and another tatami room with futon beds. There was also another tatami room with table which was perfect for meals in the room without having to get in the way of beds. The staff were incredible! Very helpful (they helped us sort our kuro-neko luggage shipping right from the front desk) and arranged for a time for the futon beds to be made each day. The view was exceptional. The hotel has its own Lawson convenience store inside, open late. As well as bakery and store for small gifts.

ItalyMost of the personnel speaks a very basic english, the only reception desk clerk who was able to really communicate and was ready to help was a girl named Lee. The relation quality vs price of the hotel itself is okay, but the price of the bar was pretty expensive even for a 5 star hotel.
Good location, next to Tokyo Tower, the hotel is an old building but still classy. Very spacious room for Japan standard.

Hong Kong▸Have a convenient store at the hotel but it's small and not 24/7 ▸Most close station is Metro (Akabanebashi) so you need to either have some train transfer to other main tourist station (not recommend transfer at big station cause you will get lost) or a 15mins walk to JR station. The hotel provides shuttle service (physical timetable available at the counter) to the JR station but it might not match your schedule
▸Wonderful tower view, I did not expect it is that close! And I can even see TOKYO SKYTREE too ▸Very friendly and helpful staff

ItalyThe location is lovely for the view on the Tokyo Tower but not very convenient for sightseeing. Staff were nice but not at the extend you would expect from a 5-star hotel
The hotel was properly maintained although marks of time visible in some areas. Breakfast was ok but with quite long queue every morning and limited choice. Our room was quite comfortable albeit a light smell of smoke, and quite large for Tokyo’s standards, with a stunning view on the Tokyo Tower. Price was quite competitive compared to other 5-star options.

RomaniaThe location is not the best to visit Tokyo. Breakfast had few options for a 5 stars hotel. We have asked at the checkin to pay the room and the breakfast for 1 day. At checkout we have noticed that the breakfast was not charged even if we have requested this 2 Times. The facilities should be free of charge for the hotel guests. For families they can not be used as no children are allowed under 20.
Big room compared to Japan hotels.
