Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong KongThe hair dryer can be better. Also, the rubbish bin for combustible is slightly small and not conveniently located. However, these are minor issues.
The room is spacious and nicely furbished. The kitchen is well equipped (salt and pepper provided) and I loved the dish washer. Onsen is connected to B1 floor and our whole family loved it. The activities available at the resorts are good for kids and teenagers. Since we went in summer, many restaurants in the resort are not opened. However, dinner buffet at the Rusutsu resort (Oktoberfest) is great and have a huge variety of local foods. There are a Seicomart and a 7-11 (opens 24 hours) located across the street of the resort.

JapanNot a negative, but a recommendation that in the future for people checking out, that if they are skiing on the checkout day, they be allowed to use a locker and changinf rooms. This was an issue since the bus was around 5pm and we skiied until around 3pm. And obviously need to change clothes etc. So please consider this - even if a cost is involved, guests including myself would happily pay for the convenience. Since we are planning on returning in January 2026, it would be greatly appreciated🤞
Location, room size, freedom and peace in the room, ability to do washing and cook. Basically home away from home.

SingaporeBreakfast here is limited. The only cafe downstairs has limited and little food options. Limited means not a wide variety of sandwiches. By 8am, most of the sandwiches have ran out and no top ups. And you can only choose 1 x sandwich and some cookies. The entire cafe has 1 x self help coffee machine. The buffet breakfast restaurant is located at the ski area. If u are unable to ski to the ski area, you can opt to walk to the ski area. Takes 10-15 mins depending on the equipment's you bring along. And no bathtub. :(
It is a Ski in Ski Hotel, just the way to the chair lift is not suitable for very beginners. Skiing back is halfway from the slopes directing to the hotel locker rooms. But good enough. If not there is on demand shuttle to bring/pick you to the ski area - 2mins ride but maybe a 5 -10 mins wait. This is more like a service apartment than hotel. The room is spacious, full equipment kitchen. Convenience stores are nearby to get some instant food if you want to cook. Washer and Dryer in the room that makes the entire stay really awesome. Staffs are friendly and prompt as well.

AustraliaWe had an enjoyable time at The Vale. The ski in ski out was handy. Our only issue was the temperature of our apartment. Even with the windows open it was too hot. We asked the staff and they explained the hotel is on a central system, which we understood. It was just so hot! Fabulous apartment. Spacious and huge bathrooms. Overall a great experience with helpful friendly concierge. Great to have concierge with lifts to and from local restaurants.

AustraliaCentral heating is difficult to adjust and had to turn off and open single window for pleasant temperature. Television is limited to Japanese, unless you have paid Netflix or other accounts. Wi-fi is modern but cannot be accessed, if using older computer versions, so had to utilise free wi-fi in reception. Hokkaido resort liner from airport will leave you at Rusutsu resort main entrance and you need to make your own way to Vale apartments via the extensive long resort hallways and lift/escalators. Vale reception will not assist you to Rusutsu main entrance, if using public transport.
Vale apartments are connected to Rusutsu Resort and best accessed if not using private motor vehicle through resort, although quite long walk with different lift/escalators. Accommodation is modern, clean, quiet, well furnished, included kitchen and supported by helpful reception staff. Access to ski field is convenient and easy. Included breakfast in Rusutsu resort is much apreciated.

AustraliaSome milk for the coffee to start with. The USB charger would be better between the 2 beds so that they could sit on the bedside table between them.
The room we had was fantastic. The buffet breakfast was very fulfilling. We could ski out/in from The Vale to the slopes, so we didn't have to walk. The view to the East Mtn. WOW!

AustraliaThe ski locker was quit me small and would benefit from some hooks to help store gloves, helmets etc
Convenient access to the slopes. Our apartment was perfect for 5 days on the slopes and it was very handy having kitchen and laundry facilities. The valet service was also handy to get a lift if we needs it.

AustraliaVery comfortable hotel with big rooms. Rooms have a kitchen, dining and lounge area. Ski in, ski out with easy access to the slopes. Ski gear rentel is just outside the hotel in Rusutsu resort, which is interconnected. The same corridor also leads to the onsen and shops in the resort. Only a pity that there is no proper convenience store in the resort. But the hotel offers a free shuttle service to the local 7 11.

Hong KongIf the western breakfast restaurant could be closer to the hotel, that would be great! They could have the Chinese restaurant to offer morning western breakfast as well. The bed could be much better with softer mattress. The current one is a bit hard especially for someone with a tiring snowboard day.
We like the room design, the use of colours that well match the environment with relax comfortable vibes. The onsen is the best, well designed bathing area with outdoor onsen pool.

United StatesThe lobby is beautiful with a nice polished tile floor. However, it is quite slippery! Fell down and landed square on my bottom. While the lobby flooring is attractive and certainly easy to clean, I would suggest some traction strips or traction bumps as I frequently see in other hotels I have stayed at in Japan.
Great ski in/ski out location. Nice locker area for skis/gear, convenient benches to put on boots and gear. Go out the door about 10 steps and your on a gentle grade that goes right down to the lifts. At the end of the day take that same lift up and follow a nice downward path (with signs) right back to the Vale, walk 10 steps and your back in the locker room. Super comfortable rooms, nice floor plan with galley style kitchen that is well equipped for dining in when desired.
