Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomTo be honest, nothing was bad. It was a bed and a bathroom and a breakfast table, with polite and helpful staff that serviced the rooms every day if you wanted. I would absolutely stay there again next time I visit.
Located 5 minutes walk from Center Minami subway station in Yokohama. It’s away from the intensity of central Tokyo, but with easy access to it by subway/train. Shibuya is about 45/50 mins away for example, as is Kamakura. The hotel itself is located right next to a super chill park which was a great thing to have on the doorstep. There are also lots of places to eat and a big supermarket minutes away on foot. The hotel had a small fridge in the room, meaning keeping milk and juice for breakfast was easy. The room was a decent size, and had a table and chairs we could use to eat on. It also had a little bathtub so we could soak in that after a long day in Tokyo, and the wifi was fast enough for 2 phones, an ipad and a Switch with no issues. The hotel is actually opposite a hospital, so I think it's used by people visiting relaives there too. It's basic, but comfortable and everything you need if you plan to be out doing stuff most of the time. I travelled with my 10 year old son to visit my brother who lives nearby in Yokohama, so if you have any reason to be visiting Yokohama it's a great little spot. No nonsense, and a really good price compared to even Shin-Yokohama hotels by comparison. If you want the hustle and bustle and Tokyo nightlife on your doorstep it's not the one, but if you like to dip in and out of the metropolis and have a quiet place to retreat to afterwards it's ideal!

United StatesNo microwave oven and the room is too small. And no more than two people can stay. They should have different room sizes to cater to different needs.
Location was great, near the many restaurants and the big shopping mall.

JapanThe microwave in the public space had seen better times when I stayed there. It was a little weak to heat up bento. Its maximum capacity was only 250W. I think you would need at least 750W to properly warm up your meals.
The hotel is at a great location: convenient for any kind of shopping, 5 mins walk from Center Minami station and it is next to a nice natural park that extends into other parks as well. The hotel is quiet and the beds comfortable. The room I stayed in was spacious with all the basic amenities.

JapanThe beds and pillows were quite hard for our liking which was a shame because everything else with this stay was lovely.
We stayed at this hotel because it was close to our friends we were spending New Years with in the area. Parking is available in the underground parking garage of the hotel. Hotel is off the main road so fairly quite location, but within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Reception is located on the 2F - check-in was quick and easy. We paid ¥1000 for parking and if you want take your car out, you will need to get a token from reception to exit the parking garage. The twin room was spacious for the size room you normally get in Japanese hotels. The bathroom was also a great size. The room was clean and well equipped. Check-out was quick and easy as well. Check-out time is 10am, however, Room information says late check-out is possible for ¥1000 for each hour after 10am to the max. time of 2pm which we believe is a wonderful option for those who enjoy a little bit of a sleep in on check-out day. We were grateful for the cheap rate we were able to secure with booking.com for this hotel, especially during New Years.

SpainI chose the room because it had a kitchen, but it had only an induction plate, no microwave, no pans, plates, cups or cutlery, no washing soap, no sponge, no kitchen towels or papers... so it was impossible to use it. I imagine this is targeted to Japanese customers who stay for long stays when a family member is at the hospital next door, but for a short stay is very inconvenient it would have been nice to know in advance the kitchen was not furnished at all. Also, the pillow was so high and hard I got terrible neck pain. Though I understand that might be personal preference, it was clearly not a standard pillow. Also access is peculiar. The reception is in a 2nd floor, but it is not possible to get out through the main door by elevator. I had heavy luggage and had to explore each floor carrying it, finding no exits in F1, ground floor or B1. I ended up going out through the parking in B2, but I wish staff had explained how to get out.
The location was great for my purpose, close to the station and a huge park.
