It’s at the top of a hill, which is nice but makes walking back from the beach really difficult when it’s hot so would recommend renting e-bikes or a moped.

Very spacious and quiet house and the host was very responsive and helpful! Would definitely stay here again.

Kinda far from the beaches considering that the roads are uphill and hard for walking. Best place to stay if you have a car.

You can see the stars at night and it's very peaceful. The owner was kind to take us to the port and beach.

The house is beautifully situated in the jungle. Simply wonderful to wake up in the morning and hear all the birds singing. The equipment is ok and offers a basic need of everything you need. The host is super friendly and helpful. He helped us with tips, organised excursions, picked us up and brought us from the ferry and even drove us back to the house once. You have to know that the house is located on a hill outside of town, i.e. a scooter/car/ is recommended, otherwise you have to walk up in the dark in the evening (we did it once ;-) so all in all only recommendable!

Aharen beach was not such a great swim, but excursions were great.

Great place to stay abroad. Beautiful sky at night. The contact person (Tetsuji) checked everything for us (transportation, reservations at restaurants and trip reservation). He was extremely helpful and friendly. 😀

The bathroom needs a little deep cleaning. The cabin’s curtains and bathroom curtain have mold. The toilet needs some scrubbing.

The cabin was nice and comfortable. Secluded and quiet. The cabin is not walkable but the caretaker is very nice and friendly. He drove us around.

The kindness and service of the owner is unparalelled. He also helped us a lot with getting the correct ferry from Okinawa (Naha) to Tokashiki. Absolutely great.

The host was very friendly - he picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry terminal, and drove us to the beach during our stay. It's located in a quiet area away from other tourists but is still walkable (~25 min) from the main beach.

The Guest House was great! Amazing location, quiet and near two very beautiful beaches. The Manager was also super nice and kind. So overall, we had the perfect travelling experience! We will definitely come back another time.

Amazing house! Made of wood and surrounded by forest. Has everything you need for a great vacation. Would be the next for groups. Since it’s far from other objects on the island it’s better to rent your own transportation. But even if you don’t have one the very nice owner can meet you at the port and maybe take you to some locations. Big thanks for this!

The location is a dream, the futons were very comfortable, and there was everything we could ask for. Moreover, our host was great! He was very helpful and kind: he helped us with the transportation to the beach and to the port. Everything was perfect!

Upon entering the property you can smell mold. The linens aren’t clean, the shower curtain and drapes as well as the “extra” pads/mattresses has mold on them. The toaster oven was dirty, the sponge an dish towels are filthy! We asked about changing out the molded mattresses, the response from the manger was “we don’t have new ones”. We checked out a day early due to our discomfort of the filthy place. If we had read more reviews before making reservations we would have discovered that these issues hasn’t been addressed since 2017. Although we didn’t request a refund for the second day, the manager sent a text stating that we were refunded. I do appreciate that.

The property has potential, however it is obviously being neglected.
