Bed is too small and hard and at a very wrong position in the room. One person has to sleep against the wall, which makes it uncomfortable to get in and out particularly at night.

We stayed for 5 days and we got tired of the same buffet breakfast offerings everyday.

Initially, we booked only for 2 nights because we were thinking of changing hotels nearer a relative in the suburbs of Tokyo, but a JR station with storage lockers is just across the street, and we were so comfortable in the hotel, we decided to stay in Tokyo East Side Hotel Kaie for the duration of our stay in Tokyo. It has everything inside the hotel premises - a clothes shop, a Family Mart, restaurants, a weighing scale for luggage, a foreign exchange machine good for currencies all over the world, vending machines, microwave, ice dispenser, etc. We arrived very late on our first night but we did not go hungry and had a decent meal because of Family Mart and the microwave.

It was clean, comfortable, and quiet-- everything I needed to get a good night of rest before/after a day of adventuring! It was right across the street from JR Shiomi station (which goes straight to Tokyo station), a handy grocery store, and some restaurants. It's not in the middle of a busy area or night life, which was perfect for me. The station was only a couple stops from the Disney resort so that was convenient for the days we went to Disneysea/land. I didn't make use of this, but in the lobby there was a cute Mickey Mouse statue with outfits your kids could wear to take pictures. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends or family visiting Tokyo!

The quadruple room was enormous and styled in the traditional Japanese style with tatami mats. It had 4 large single beds and a LOT of space. It was directly across the road from Shiomi Train station, making it extremely easy to get to Tokyo Disneyland (3 stops away). There was a good supermarket directly opposite the hotel on the other side of the train station, making it very convenient to get water and snacks.

Far flung location. Transport cost to go to central locations must be factored in. In Japan, transport cost is a huge factor in expenditure. Only weird thing. It has almost everything but no ironing board and iron. Bathroom has no non slip mat, so there seems odd

Facilities around it were decent. Supermarket, mini mart, 7 Eleven and 3 restaurants. These met all my needs. Staff are friendly.

Wasn't so keen on how rigid the early check in and the charges were. Showing up at 2pm, should really have the flexibility for you to check in there and then. Having to wait 45 minutes or pay was a bit silly and not particularly customer focused.

I don't have any negative comments for this hotel, it was very nice.

Honestly the room was a very good size for a twins beds room for two people with fairly large suitcases, with a little table and chairs lounge style to eat in the room. For a very reasonable price. It was perfect. Also love the fact that our toilet room and the shower room are separate. I love when they do this. Other little details, very close to Tokyo Disney (maybe 20 minutes but it's three stops from the train station) The nearest train station is across the street, and on the other side of the station is a supermarket.

Beware of the double beds. They are really small (140 cm). Fortunately and because of the very helpful staff, we were able to change to a twin room, which was perfect. Also with a nice view as situated towards the green courtyard.

Location was great as it’s right next to a subway stop. Lovely hotel, rooms very spacious compared to many others we stayed in across Japan! The free bath salts in reception were divine.

The power plug is located awkwardly so my own power adapter could not fit inside but the hotel provided its own power adapter with different types of adapters ie. USB-C, for iPhone etc. I did not like it that the bathroom is separated into just toilet bowl and bathtub and washing.

Located 2 stations from Tokyo station with lesser human traffic; which provides a restful experience for travelers. There is a supermarket located next to hotel and a few eateries i.e. a 24-hr fast food (Japanese style) that is affordable and an Izakaya eatery that provides good food.

Staff were lovely and very welcoming. All the necessary amenities are available and the room was perfect. Great location right next to the station with shops within 1/2 minutes.

Breakfast wasn’t great and definitely not worth the money, the rooms are not clean. Carpet around the property dirty if stains and in rooms full of dust in corners and stains from previous guests.

Location is great and staff are very nice. Washington machine in the room is also a game changer if you’re traveling for long periods.

Some small issues that could be better: There is no soap in the WC, no trash bin in the WC, Trash bin very small in bathroom, no shower cap.

Hotel is well maintained and located very near to the Shiomi Train station which was one of our reasons we booked it. We would like to mention for their friendly and professional service and attitude 2 of the front desk personal: Kira-san and R. Sakurai-san who really were above and beyond with the service they provided us.

Not all front desk staff were proficient in english, however there was no issues using interpreting apps and devices.

Excellent variety at the buffet breakfast. Was 20% cheaper if pre-paid the day before. There was enough machines in the laundry rooms evening during the busy Gilden Week. Free ice dispensing machines were a great touch next to drink vending machines.
