Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Breakfast options are limited, so if you are prioritizing a solid breakfast, look elsewhere. Not massive value, compared to other places in Tokyo, but Shibuya is expensive.
A short walk from Shibuya station. Helpful staff. A small but good work area, if you need to use a laptop. Free WiFi access. A functional kitchen in the room, along with a washer / dryer.

No chance of getting a late checkout unless you pay for another night. Need an English speaking TV station.
Close to main area of Shibuya - shopping. Coffee machine downstairs a bonus as well as an ice machine. Washer/dryer in room.

I wish the pillows were more comfortable but they were the average pillow you will find in many Japanese hotels.
Great location, close to Shibuya station but far enough from the business. I really appreciated the kitchenette after many days of traveling to wash my clothes and water bottle. Very friendly staff and nice facility.

Location is a outside of main shibuya so it's very calm. Perfect If you want to enjoy shibuya but also have a calm night's sleep

Nothing really. But I stayed in an Annexe room my last visit and it was way too small.
Standard rooms are spacious. Extra sink space useful for travellers. Complimentary coffee is nice. Near Shibuya Stream and lots of nice cafes nearby for breakfast.

Small rooms quite pricey. A few hiccups with toilet.
Proximity with Shibuya Station via Stream and Scramble Square buildings via 2nd FL. A number of restaurants nearby.

Bathroom is small, like a closet (just watch your head). Also not much space for your luggages (2 large at most).
Excellent location within walking distance to Shibuya Grand Station, Shibuya Crossing & major shopping everywhere. Love that hotel has an amenity bar in lobby to grab whatever you forget to pack. Did not try their restaurant downstairs since eateries are everywhere. There’s a Family Mart nearby too, where I went everyday for bottle drinks. Hotel is quaint, but has everything you need (even a washing/drying machine combo and a kitchen prep area) neatly packed into room. Best part is the balcony access overlooking the streets for some fresh air!

Love the location as it is on the quieter side of Shibuya. Just 10 mins walk to Shibuya Scramble Square. Basic amenities provided. Room is pretty spacious for Japan’s standard.

The location was perfect. Close to train stations, a convenience store & was a great base for our time in Tokyo. Small balcony that was great to get fresh air. Staff were super helpful.

The room was small and the price was over $130/night which was not valued correctly.

The advertised room is located at the main building. The bathroom is a lil'bit old design vs the hotel look.
I like the location. It is near the shibuya square where all the train is accessible and there is washing/dryer in the room.

AC turns off when you aren't in the room so frequently came back to a very warm room after a day out. Not all rooms include breakfast so keep that in mind when booking.
Very close to Shibuya Scramble and the station. Room had a combo washer dryer which was great. Familymart is right next door.

Room was small. No room to open suitcase. Bedside table was small and terrible light by bed. No shelves in bathroom and hard for elders to get in and out of tub.
Lobby area was comfortable and well stocked with coffee and available toiletries if needed.
