Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Not much really. I don't have any suggestions for improvements.
Great location close to public transport.Location itself not too busy. Hotel very clean with great reception/lounge area. Free coffee and tea facilities.

The bed was a little uncomfortable.
Location is really good, very close to a train station. Washing machine in the room works really well. And a lot of storage space in the room.

Probably the breakfast, after the third day and I dont feel like eating the same food again. Its minor.
Love how convenient the location is with eateries around and near to the main road and train station. The free flow coffee machine and water at the lobby is godsend. Love the washing machine and dryer in the room, i used it twice since its summer and my clothes are all wet due to sweating after walking whole day

The kitchen area is not much use for any cooking really and is very old and bathroom is also a bit old but does the job.
The room was quite spacious by Tokyo/Shinjuku standards and had a washing machine in the room. By chance we realised the hotel is ver close to a very nice local bar and restaurant area. A big plus is the relative lack of tourists in this area as it is 3-4 subway stops away from main Shinjuku station. The staff also were all great, very helpful, on our last night we bumped into one of the management staff (not front of house) as she was going home and she helped us call a place to eat and walked us to it, thank you!

There was a cobweb running from the light above my bed to the fake plant wall art on the wall. More options for the western style breakfast or even a hot full breakfast buffet with both east & west options. English instructions for the washer/dryer would be helpful. Also, the second time I used the washer/dryer, it had an error so didn’t dry my clothes all night. Error was for clogged dryer filter. Checked; Filters were not clogged. 1 little piece of lint in filter. Removed it. Dryer wouldn’t reset or start over. I had to unplug & replug in to reset the dryer then start my load all over. Barely finished washing & drying in time to checkout on time. While not far from the station, also not as close as I would’ve liked. Not when carrying luggage…

We stayed here at the start of our trip & returned for another couple of nights at the end of our holiday. Both rooms were crampt by a large table in the room which we felt was not necessary. Rooms could be restyled to make them feel larger & not need the bed against a wall. Bathrooms look tired!
Good location & staff helpful. Parking available at rear of building which was a bonus.

Their breakfast option isn't the best unfortunately
Genuinely my go to spot next time I travel to Japan. Such a perfect spot, next to station. Staff are very friendly, they even remember me and offer as much help as they can. The room's are super nice and private.

Bathroom area dated and had a musty odor when we first arrived. Kept the vent on to reduce the smell. I did enjoy having the bathtub!
Excellent location and a great combination of hotel/apt style accommodation. We appreciate having staff on site (allowing luggage forwarding services) and the kitchen and laundry convenience in the room.

The options for breakfast at the hotel were terrible
The area that the hotel was in quite amazing with all the shops around. We found a red bean fish place around the corner. 10/10

Pillows don’t provide good support.
Location is near train station, room size is spacious for a solo traveler, room is clean and really appreciate the nice warm showers especially during the cold weather.

None so far! It’s just Yotsuya in general does not have much thing to do. If you dont mind staying few stops away from Shinjuku, this place is great!
Very excellent place for a family with baby. Place is very spacious with king bed and additional sofa bed. Super complete facilities including small kitchen to prepare baby food, fridge, and also in-room washing machine + dryer. There is a FamilyMart convenience store and a drug store (place to buy diapers, baby wipes etc) just downstairs.

It was a little noisy during the nighttime, even for a heavy sleeper like myself. The heater was pointed towards the bed, so it got a little annoying to control the temperature throughout my stay.
Quite roomy for Tokyo (was able to have two! suitcases laid open); great location as it was easy to access multiple subway lines. Lots of food options around the area as well.
