Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe toilet was outside the room and the noise from the upper room was too much. There is more need of soundproof
Very spacious room

SpainIt's a japanese house so if you're sensitive to noise, it might be an issue. The room upstairs is for 4 people, and their bathroom is downstairs so they will be going up and down and gets a bit noisy even if they're being thoughtful. Check in is restricted to 4 to 6pm which can be an issue for some.
Nice refurbished house in the middle of an old school shopping street. The 2 person room is on ground floor as are the toilet and shower. Nice staff. Bed is comfy.

AustraliaNothing. I don’t know if others were in the dorm on the second floor - but the building was quiet despite being inner city.
Had private room. Amazing they can make such a small space feel super modern, spacious and chill. Clean. Well-equipped. Good price. Convenient location. Good communication. I was passing through on pilgrimage.

Germanythe stair is extremely steep and hard to manage with a suitcase there are no “normal” knives- only kitchen knives
the design of the apartment and the space you have is for Japan extremely luxurious. we had the room upstairs- with kitchen and sink. there is a toilet outside the room but directly in front it which can only be used by the apartment inhabitants as a very steep stair is leading to the apartment. the shower is downstairs. when you come by the airport bus alight at Saenbacho and walk north. on the right side of this street you will find it after 100/200m. it is in a shop house and you can see the reception behind the glass as on the picture.

United KingdomNo natural light and quite dark.
the room overall was comfortable; however, my husband and I are both in our sixties and having to climb a wooden ladder with very narrow rungs to bed was not easy.

United KingdomThe checking in process was very difficult - according to the instructions, you needed to pick the key up elsewhere. I went there, and was told that isn’t the case (in fact, there are no keys, it is keypad and code). I’d update the instructions. The room itself is dark, the mattress is too hard, the toilet and shower are outside the room and the staff was never present (except when I checked in).
The place was clean.

SingaporeStairs to 2nd floor are quite steep so take note if carry luggage instead of backpack. Private shower is on the first floor so have to go down the flight of stairs.
Gorgeous room design & decor, big and comfortable for 4 with kitchen as well. Would recommend & stay here again!

NetherlandsThere are no real downsides to this place. If I would have to give some tips to the owner I’d suggest him to replace the ladder to the bed for one that’s less steep. And since the beds are high up in the room it can get warm up there (but if you want to, you can turn the airco on)
Sometimes you come to a place and you instantly love it. That’s what happened to us when we got to Shu. We were nicely welcomed by Mimima that did all he could to make our stay very comfortable. The room is nicely designed, with natural materials, has a zink and you can make your coffees there. There’s also a nice carpet to sit on and good lighting. The bathroom and shower are perfect and clean.
