Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThe breakfast was basic, with no choice. Before 8.30 the food was finished.
The hotel was nice and clean. It is close to Jaxa. The staff was nice and helpful.

FinlandNot much staff interaction, since you had to do check-in and check-out with an automat, even though there was an assistant next to it. I would prefer personal interaction.
Nice and clean hotel next to Fuchinobe station. Breakfast is ok, vending machine and laundry automats in the lobby were useful. Several markets and cafes close, and small restaurants on the other side of station. My second stay here, and will come again.

AustraliaThe only small comment I could make in the negative is that the breakfast menu can be a little repetitive if you’re in one location for a number of days in a row.
The Toyoko Inn, anywhere in Japan is always reliably the same. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. In Fuchinobe, you can expect the same. No, they are not the most glorious rooms you can find in a hotel, so don’t expect that. What you can expect is friendly staff that are helpful and a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Toyoko Inn.

JapanThe breakfast finishes too early. The beds are also quite hard, even though I am not fussy they were a little uncomfortable.
Typical Toyoko-Inn, everything you'd expect. Room gets cleaned every 3rd day, but fresh towels every day. If you put your rubbish bin outside, they will empty this for you too. The breakfast is phenomenal, I always love the breakfast here! It has some variation every day and is a true Japanese breakfast. All amenities provided downstairs when you enter as well.

GermanyA bit old style and floor carpet but can't beat that price.
Great price including a decent Japanese breakfast buffet, clean, helpful personnel, and convenient location by the station and restaurants. Nice view from the 14th floor. Room had a twin bed for one person booking and a desk which was very convenient.

ItalyVery limited choices at breakfast: we even considered at some point to go and have breakfast at a nearby coffee shop.
Very convenient: easy access to the train station, and to the place where we had our business meetings; reasonably big and comfortable room.

United StatesIt was a bit expensive for me. The room was small, but that is normal for this kind of hotel.
The breakfast was not bad. Most of the hotels I stayed at didn't have breakfast at all, so just to have it was good. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed taking a bath in the tub! My bed was right next to the window, so I had a nice view. The location is easily walkable from Fuchinobe Station.

AustraliaHad to climb onto the bed to open and close the curtains; room was very small but OK for one person. My daughter and grandson shared a room and that was uncomfortable for them.
I didn't make use of the breakfast as I preferred a Western-style breakfast but my daughter was very happy with the selection at breakfast. The location was excellent, so close to the station and several convenience stores. The staff used a translation device to communicate which made it easy as the level of English was very basic.

FinlandNice, peaceful and clean hotel with good connections. Fuchinobe station and Yokohama line nearby, as well as markets, cafes and restaurants. Breakfast was OK, and coin laundry machines in lobby were useful. Good value for money, would definitely use this hotel again when in the area.

RomaniaThe neighbourhood is not very exciting/lively and I would not recommend being here unless you have a specific reason to visit Fuchinobe (I did). It is a long commute from both Tokyo and Yokohama, and there isn't a good variety of shops/restaurants nearby. By the end of the 1.5-week long stay I started to get quite irritated with how they deal with the daily room cleaning. Basically you HAVE to be out of the room by 10am sharp, or let them know in advance that you do not want the room cleaned that day. Even if you stay in your room between 10am-4pm you will not be able to enjoy it, lots of hustle and bustle to clean the other rooms and what was worst -- the announcements on the loud speakers every 10-30 minutes (I don't know what they said, it was in Japanese, usually Person So-and-So please come to the front desk). Why???
It's a decent enough hotel, especially if you are in the area for work. A good price, close to the Fuchinobe train station on the Yokohama JR line, reasonably clean, comfy beds, WiFi works very well (which should not be taken for granted in Japan in general...), staff spoke reasonable English. No major show stoppers.
