We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It was one of the best stay I’ve ever had in Japan! The place was sizeable which is rare in Japan and don’t get me started on the aesthetics! The highlight of the stay was just the thoughtfulness of the amenities provided. We enjoy making our pour over coffee (provided) in the mornings and we have the best space to unwind after a long day of walking. The place is clean enough that we feel comfortable to use their cooking ware to cook dinners. It’s near the Uno train station and to the port if you’re planning to head to the art islands.

Taiwan1. The toilet is on the other side of the room, which means no AC. It is hot and humid during summer. 2. I visited in July. There were A LOT OF mosquitoes outside the house. Once you opened the door, mosquitoes would follow you inside the room. I got several bites instantly. 3. Cockroach. A cockroach just showed up in the bedroom at night, which was SCARY. This was probably the first time I saw roaches in Japan. 4. Unknown bugs. I only stayed for one night, but I found several bite marks on both my legs the morning I checked out. They were not mosquito bites cause they were SUPER ITCHY. My guess was that they were from fleas or other insects. I chose this accommodation based on the good reviews. I understand it was summer and some bugs were inevitable. But seriously cockroaches and fleas (or some other kinds of insects that bite)?? This place might be clean (it looks like it was newly renovated) but has some serious bug issues.
The interior design was tasteful. The facilities seemed brand new.
